Weather talks

We've refreshed some records here as well.

For instance, the 30th and the 31st of January now have the warmest of +3oC (+37oF)and +4oC(+39oF) respectively. The warmest records for the Jan 21st (+4oC / +39oF)and Jan 26th (+5oC / +41oF) still stand from 1898 and 1882 respectively.

Today's highest (+5oC / +41oF) also stands since 1885. It's about (-1oC / +30oF) now.

The prognosticator of prognosticators has spoken. It's going to be an early spring.

It's going to be an early spring.

Can't be.

You see, spring comes after winter. And according to what I hear from Americans here, they (you) don't really have the winter for the spring to come after.

You can't have any spring if you've had no winter, simple as that. It would be unnatural (if not perversive) to have it any way other than that.

Ok, lets follow this line of reasoning further. Since we have no spring in America, and summer comes after spring we can't have summer either. And since fall comes after summer we can't have fall either. So America is in a perpetual state of weather related ambiguity, stuck in the no man's land of meteorological existence.

I still don't get this whole "Let's ask a rodent about the weather" thing, it's not like a holiday where you get to eat a turkey or whatever, there's no day off work, no presents, nothing, I don't get why anyone in North America seems to care so much, especially since obviously rodents know nothing about climate change.

Who knows why we do anything in America. I'm still trying to figure out why we celebrate Cinco de Mayo or have a Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Which is why we consult a woodchuck. For clarity.

Winter started just yesterday here. Better late than never i gues.

It depends. At the southern coast where i live, yes. In the center of Spain however it can get really cold. Charlton Heston said he never experimented such cold as at northern Castilla, when he was filming the Cid.

Was it related to something we have no chance of knowing about him and Sophia Loren and Lydia Clarke?
I hope not. I get quite irated only on thinking about a psyco as Heston putting his greasy hands on a godess as Sophia.

You heard it hear first: Republicans are rodents.

We had 3 days of extreme cold. But today the forecast is heavy rain and warm.
Same here. We got about a quarter inch of snow that turned into ice and very frigid temperatures. Now we are getting lots of rain and temps that approach the 70's. We essentially didn't get a winter here, just a long fall.

Today late in the morning the temp went up at least 20 degrees over an hour or so. Then it was really nice out for about 2 hours, then we got heavy downpours and very strong gust wind.

Spring like in NM. :)
