    Pain in the ass.

I've seen a few posts on it and they seemed positive. I don't know much besides that as I have no interest in tower defense games. Here is an RPS article on it.

I test drove it last nite with my nVidia Geforce 8600 GT which just had the latest drivers installed last week (for Battlefield BC2). It seemed to work fine. Do you have a more modern card perhaps?

On Sanctum. I see Tower Defense as just a restrictive form of RTS. So if you want an RTS/FPS hybrid, I'd save my money for Nuclear Dawn coming out on Steam in a few months, and based on the L4D2 engine (which ain't too poopie though its not Frostbite 3.0). But it's your soda pop money. :)

I'm going for the BF:BC2 specops expansion and Railroads! (remember most of the publisher catalogs are still on sale). I've got enough gun fetish and puzzle games this past week to tide me over. Saving up for STRONHOLD 3, which I hope will not disappoint.

SpecOps isn't an expansion, its just 4 DLC skins sets.

It has a few new guns too (but you're right only one of the new guns isn't just a skin). I guess it's Buy your way to victory.

Oh well, it gives it that Counter Strike: Source feel that everyone on this board loves, right? :) :)

The skins do! Lots of balaclavas and full helmets with goggles.

How often does Battlefield 2: Complete (Steam) go on sale? It's an awesome game and I have yet to see it on sale. Probably because I haven't been keeping watch for really long, but I'm an impatient man :p

I'd expect it to go on sale when BF3 comes out to piss off EA, since they're kind of being snotty to Steam about EA's own "steam" called Origin. But buy it now if you got at least $5! It won't be any cheaper any where else. Not used on Amazon, which is my only Steam alternative.

remake20 won the first copy of Sanctum. Next copy is up for anyone who can pick the right number between 1 and 15. Just post on my profile page.

Sadly the Steam Summer Camp Sale is over, mostly. The Publisher Packs are still on sale for today only.

A couple of them are tempting... but I don't want to wake up like John Bobbit.

I have a 300 series card so I'm not sure if your 8600 would have the same issues. But most modern cards have texture loading issues that make the game basically invisible.

ImperialGuard guessed the right number. One more to go. This time, pick a number between 1 and...69. ;)

The delightfully weird and highly imaginative Zeno Clash is 75% off on Steam this weekend for $3.75. Its a great game with very fun fighting with great sound effects that feel right. I highly recommend it :)

There's a cartoony tower defense game for $5 too. The demo was kind of fun, but it's still just tower defense.

Not a sale, but there's a new Indie RPG on Steam - Cthulhu Saves the World- that looks interesting and is getting some good feedback. It's dirt cheap ($2.69 for the package) if anyone might be interested.
