So, Bloodlines looks pretty interesting. What's it about, exactly?

Vampires mostly. Its apparently really good.

As for Dino D-Day... I can't even get it to work, along with Left 4 Dead 2, Bad Company 2 and other games. I need to back up and reinstall windows.

You're a newly born vampire who gets sucked into a giant conspiracy.
It sounds kinda quaint when said like this, but saying more would really spoil the game. It's definitely worth getting though.

Gamersgate really needs a "filter out crappy family-casual-puzzle-adventure-indie game" button.

Yeah I tend to suck at this for some reason. I'm the kind of guy who "skim scans" the fridge in search of the milk carton, and christ, I can't see it even if it's in my face. Insert skim milk joke here.

If you pre-order Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad on Steam you get 10% off. However, if you already own Red Orchestra you will get 20% off making the game only $31.99. The game releases on August 30th.

EDIT: And another sale, if anyone still ahs not (somehow) purchased any Paradox grand strategy titles like EUIII, Victoria I & II, HoI II & III or EU: Rome they are all 75% off on Steam right now. Everything is less than $4 each (except Victoria II and EUIII: Chronicles which are $7.49 each. Also included are the indie/fan made modifications of EUII and HoI2 For the Glory and Darkest Hour.

Is Victoria 2 really worth it? EU3 does consistently better in Metacritic.

Vanilla Vicky 2 is better than vanilla EU3 if that's what you're asking.

I have some funds in the ol' digital wallet. What do you guys suggest, EU3 Chronicles, HOI2 Comp, HOI3, or Darkest Hour? Or something else entirely?

Out of those, EU3 or HoI2 complete. Depends on the period of history you're interested in.

EU3 Chronicles and HoI2 Complete. HoI3 probably just needs another expansion I guess, I haven't really been paying attention.

I can't remember but has anyone here played Darkest Hour? Because it looks pretty sweet.

EU3 Chronicles, cuz I just like the time period that EU3 takes place in. Everything else is just based around World Wars.

Personally, I find HoI3 w/ SF and the HPP mod to be better than any setup for HoI2 I tried.

Machinarium is 75% off on Steam today. If you like P&C adventure/puzzle games I highly recommend it.
