weird cat behavior

I wouldn't dare. My cat is very jealous of me talking to girls and her nails are very sharp.

My cat was extremely jealous too!
She was very antisocial whenever there was a girl at home with me.

Antisocial in this case meant following people in menacing way, sit on my bed and scratch to blood whoever dared to get close to it (apart me obviously, and that's gave a false sense of security to other people).

about the sitting on the laptop: that's normal behaviour.
cats seems to love being at the center of your attention, whenever you focus on something else then them.
It's not about food, it's really about attention.
My cat used to lay on the keyboard or on top of the monitor (CRT times).

Rubbing their neck/cheeks on objects (or people) is a way to mark them with smell: marking property.

Yes my cat always rubs her head against me and my laptop and always tries to to sit on or the laptop whenever I'm on it

that's soooo typical!
You would kill any human doing something remotely like that... but a cat always look lovely doing it :)

At the end every cat owner rejoices of his/her cat attentions, no matter how annoying they can be.

Spoiler :

Until they steal your newspaper and complete every sudoku on it :)

Ah, I sometimes have that problem with my cat, I come in and see that she has done all my sudoku for me!

I love putting my cat up against the mirror, and she assumes immediately it's another cat and proceeds to paw the glass in defense of her territory. Bless.

One night I was outside my friends house at about 3am and I noticed a group of about 8 cats sitting in a circle. Once they noticed me they all ran off in one direction, over the next 20 minutes more cats showed up and ran off in the same direction. I can only conclude that some sort of cat "Mafia" runs the street.

I would be afraid if I was you. Very afraid.

start to worry if they ever bring dead animals to you: it's a clear message from the cat-mafia

Holy necropost Batman!

Cats all have their weird idiosyncracies. One of my cats is totally in love with wood. Anything made of wood he will lick and rub his face all over it. He doesn't behave that way with anything else, only wooden objects specifically. My other cat is such a catnip addict, if you fill a sock with catnip he will fight other cats to keep them away from it, believing it to be his sole property.

I've tried that with my cat. He's oblivious to the fact that there's even a mirror, let alone his reflection in the mirror.

That sounds like what my cat would do

Mine, too. She doesn't care about a mirror. It's important to note that cats, like dogs, regard sight as a third-rate sense. Hearing and Smell is much more important. If it doesn't sound or smell like a cat, it isn't a cat. Also, cats can hear higher-pitched sounds than dogs can. This is like putting on odd clothes, walking in a strange manner and approaching your dog. If you're downwind, don't press it - the dog doesn't know you and might attack. If you're upwind, he thinks you want to play.

Experiment a number of years ago. They did a test training cats with small lights blinking on and off. The cats did very well and the experiment seemed good, until they found that one of their star pupils was blind! It turns out that all of the cats were paying attention to the tiny clicks of the light filaments heating up.

"You feed a dog, give it a home and take care of it. The dog thinks 'wow, you must be a god!' You feed a cat, give it a home and take care of it. The cat thinks 'Wow, I must be a god!'

For some reason, my cat isn't like that. He always seems to beg for his food, rubbing up against my legs and letting out high pitched squeaks. Overall, he's kind of similar to a dog, except that he doesn't do well with verbal commands.

Also, I was wondering: Does anybody else have a cat that is terrified of the outdoors? Part of his fear might have come from slipping off of one of our first-story windows, but he's still terrified of setting one foot outside the door.

There's a cat in my basement that can go through a window into a medium-sized dog crate, it's like a little enclosed patio in the back yard. (Known as a catio.) Very, very rarely I'll see it outside.

We have three cats. I took one for a rabies shot a couple of weeks ago. I carried her in one of those cardboard cat boxes. It took about an hour and she was very well behaved while surrounded by dogs in the waiting room. On the way home I heard the box rattle around and found her in my lap. Here is the box:

Both of the cats we have right now have some weird things they do. Our female cats likes to lick finger, so much so that she could spend minutes at a time licking my fingers. Our male cat lick to lick our hair, so he often grooms us when he is happy.
