Weird Install Problems

For some unknown reason, every time I attempt to install the game, nothing happens. Autoplay starts up and everything, and then I click Civilization 4 to install it, and then everything stops. WHY??

is there any error meassage?
did you try opening the cd without autoplay?
did it install anything (search for Firaxis or Civilization on your computer)?

Nope, no error message or anything.

Opening the CD without autoplay has also done nothing. Clicking setup just brings me back to the screen, and when I click to install, nothing happens. I have no idea what's going on.

sorry for the late response - Real Life intervened
you could try copying the whole cd to some directory on your harddisk and running the setup from there - maybe its just some funky stuff with your cd-drive?
Note: you need to have the cd in the drive when you want to play though...
