Though I may pick up a copy of Civ4 someday soon if I see it for cheap as I've heard good things.

Hello, I'm esperite. I've been lurking for a while, and now I decided to start an account so I can post some stuff. I've been drawn to the Fall from Heaven mod and its modmods, so that is what I usually play (on the noble difficulty setting). I might learn to mod at some point, if I get motivated.

Hello guys.
So, where to start? Let's see... I ever since liked Civ since I played Civ2 for the first time. I played it for years because I ever since had to use low-end hardware. I even built up a City sized 128 (which all of the sudden collapsed (see screenshot ) and due to that just dissapeared from the map). I also played the third one (including various add-ons like Call to Power and stuff) and I bought Civ4 Complete when it was available for 10€ and I still cant stop playing. But now I'm about to start creating and contributing my own stuff for Civ4. I had quite a good idea but now clue of how to doing this stuff... this is how I landed here.

Hi, im zach im 15 and i love civ since ive gotit wehen i was 9. and i cant wait for Civ 5 to come out.and i do not like any first person shooter games or mmo's. i was always the guy who played hardcore strategic video games, like Hearts of iron1, 2, and 3. and im not the type f persso who pickes or tease people. so thats me. =D

I found out about CivIV when I was bored and googled civilization. The search suggestions showed "Civilization 5" and I thought 'Why not?' then I realized it wasn't out yet, and googled civ4. Now I have a copy on my computer desk.

I'm 15-year old (soon 16); I live in Helsinki.
Started to play Civilization 4 around 2 years ago (I think i have registered here one day, but I haven't any idea what was my e-mail then/username)

Other games I play: TF2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, W3, SC2, Killing Floor, MW2, BC2 and many others.

My primary hobby is triathlon (also with Orienteering, Badminton and other sports).
English is not my primary language, so there may be some mistakes in my spelling...

I've been playing CIVREV on my PS3 for a month now and decided to get CIVCOMPLETE for my laptop so I could take it with me on camping trips. The PC version is a lot more complicated so I'm glad I got the PS3 version first.

I got hooked on the first CIV, but didn't back to it until CIV: III. It wasn't till I read online about the Civfanatics forum when I was playing CIV: IV that I discovered the site, now I'm hooked. I DL'd maybe a half dozen mods and scenarios and the tech support in the forums is as good or better than I get from Firaxis or 2K. Obsessed with BTS, but getting back in Warlords. Vanilla CIV: IV and CIV I are still fun all these years. Already pre-ordered CIV: V...I am dying to see all the new goodies that have been added. On a separate note, where would I go to ask questions about adding units to CIV: IV? Thanks for the time.

Hello everybody!

I tried to install Civ4 with Window 7 but got stuck as soon as the "Install shield" tried to create "Art0.FPK". There's a "Feature transfer error":

Feature: DefaultFeature
Component: Civ4Component
File: D:\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I have updated the "DirectX" already.
I used to play the game well with Window vista, by checking out clues for installation in this forum. Hope you guys can give me hint how to resolve this time.
