Welcome to the Civ5 Hall of Fame!

With Civ5's release we will begin the process of fleshing out the Civ5 Hall of Fame rules and putting together the Hall of Fame website. Please be patient with us as we figure it all out.

Status Update:

Most of the main HOF pages are built. The save file parser created by Gyathaar has been enhanced by AlanH for GOTM test games. I am currently using that to load the Beta Gauntlet games into the HOF and prepare the submit page.

Once the above is complete we will be opening a Beta Civ5 HOF. The Beta HOF will continue until we are able to build a HOF Mod for a more Official HOF.

Highlights:

• Offical tables will be for all the combinations of Difficulty, Victory Condition, Map Size, Speed, Map Type, and Leader.
• There will be separate tables for Fastest Finish Date and High Score.
• The tables on the main index page will be ordered by number of entries (highest to lowest).
• The Veni Vidi Vici Challenge (similar to Civ4 Quattromasters) will have categories for completing each of the possible options of Difficulty, Victory Condition, Map Size, Speed, Map Type, and Leader.
• Each HOF table and Gauntlet will be competing for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
• Only a player's best entry will be counted for a given table.
• Medals awarded depend upon minimum number of table entries for each level of medal. A minimum of 2 players must have submitted entries for a given table for a bronze medal to be awarded. (4 for silver and 6 for gold.)
• Overall pages will rank players by total value of metals. Gold = 9 pts, Silver = 3, and Bronse = 1. Ties are broken by number of medals of each type.
• The Veni Vidi Vici Challenge will be ranked by number of categories completed and medal values of players' HOF Entries in each category.

We hope to have the Beta Gauntlets loaded in the next week or two. We will make the pages visible at that point. The submission page will hopefully be ready by the end of the month.

Civilization 5 Hall of Fame is Coming Soon!

Please visit the Civ5 Hall of Fame now for a preview.

We have loaded most of the games from the Beta Gauntlet 1 thru Beta Gauntlet 7 threads into the Civ5 HOF tables to allow everyone a preview of the website.

Notes:

• Our current plan is to open the Civ5 HOF for submissions as soon as the announced Feburary Civ5 patch is available.
• The preview games will be removed before the first update is posted. The games from the beta threads were not always usable or did not always follow the rules posted on the Civ5 HOF website. We believe that it is best to start fresh with the new patch.
• Questions and comments about the website should be posted to the HOF Question & Answers thread. Defects should also be posted there.
• We are missing a few icons here or there. We are aware and will be correct those in the near future.
