yeah, it does. the head especially. and when it is flying, you wouldn't be able to see the "zombification" of the WH model, would you?

you've added texture to the wings too, haven't you?

coz before (and i know that birds have bones in their wings too ) it looked like skin stretched between the bones, a la a bat

no... it wasn't a skin stretched between the bones, they were feathers (but there was so much of them that it looked like they're one single surface).

And I haven't added texture to the wings... I've merely changed it

other changes include:
- less "feathers" on the back of the bird
- added tail (duh!)
- the torso is now actually a torso of a skeleton horse

Actually, my complaint, such as it is, is against the wing structure, which is decidedly unbirdlike. I'd prefer it lookig more like a real bird, but since it's a fantasy animal (well, fantasy cadaver), its failure to do so is not exactly a damning flaw.

What about those Chaos furies (recoloured harpies)? Are we satisfied with those, or what?

Stats: I'd say that the carrion, furies and harpy should be about the same as the great eagle, right?

I agree with aaglo about the stats. But how come the terradon has the same stats as the great eagle but comes later and is far more expensive? They both require beasts…

All smallish units (i e non-dragon class) will require Eyrie, these new units too. And the Terradon has attack 8 while the eagle has only 6.

Smallish units include Griffons, or will they require Eyrie and beasts? OR does the Griffon resource remain?

As far I've understood, the griffon-resource is replaced by the Eyrie-resource (enabling most - if not all - smallish flyers).

Yes. Some of the really small ones (like the elf Hawk) won't require it, but flyers below the dragon class should. Unless they're non-eyrie-like, like fell bats, which require beasts instead.
To me it would be silly to have a unit require both eyries and beasts, it's not as if you're embarking on a clan moulder program.
