I'm not loving the new agendas. Teddy Roosevelt hating me (Cleo) for being a woman earlier was just annoying.

If they were going to give the AI some random (hidden) adjustments, they honestly should have been traits like "More Friendly" or "More Warlike" rather than modifiers that are just.. insulting.

Welp, you heard the man. Boys are dumb so you'd better run off and become a girl now. It's what Robert the Bruce would have wanted you to do.

The aim is for a leader with one of these traits to like or hate roughly half the leaders in the game. That said, this isn't the most elegant way of going about it.

The new Flirtatious and Curmudgeon agendas are insulting and bad for the game. They should be removed ASAP.

Oh, I'd be perfectly fine with the game literally giving a random + or - to each AI leader's relation to every other civ, so sometimes you get a normally easy to deal with civ that just plain hates you, and sometimes you get a civ that is otherwise impossible to deal with that just randomly likes you.

But "You're a boy so you have cooties" is dumb.

Cleo invited me to ride on her pleasure barge. I think Flirtatious may be her preferred hidden agenda.

I roiled Nubia and it turns out both of my neighbours - Robert and Lautaro - have the Flirtatious agenda so I've had a very peaceful game.

Fits her much, much better than paranoid. That one basically contradicted her normal agenda.

Stupid is that you have no way how to deal with this agenda. With the other ones, you can make ships, build walls, attract great people, make spies etc. But this? Completely out of your control!

Personally I think this kind of stuff is more amusing than annoying, but some people are very serious about their Civ games apparently. Now if you'll excuse me, I think Gandhi is rebuking me for not building enough nukes again.

The only thing that annoys me about this is that robster will like victoria for being a girl which is just wrong not for any sexism but because there is an animosity there born of the English colonial nature being used close to home.
The world is full of Misogynists and Misandrists alike, its life, lets not hide it. The game would be wrong if it did one not the other... I think they are brave doing this but different. I like the idea there is twats in the game I can just kill.

The agendas are a sucky concept when used this way, but at least the dialogue is good.
