As per my New Years Resolution, I've decided to make a food-related thread.

What are you cooking for dinner tonight? Note, the thread is not "what are you having for dinner tonight", so if you aren't cooking anything then get out!!!!!!!!

You could also say what you are cooking for breakfast or lunch, if applicable.

As for me, I'm going to make a salad and pasta for dinner tonight.

salad: Arugula, whip up a little vinaigrette, crumble on some goat cheese. Simple yet very tasty. I love the mix of peppery arugula with creamy mild goat cheese. If I'm feel like it when I start cooking I may form the goat cheese into patties and "bread" them with crushed walnuts and sautee them quickly instead of just crumbling them, but we'll see!

pasta: Tri-color rotini with kale, walnuts, and garlic. Easy to make, cheap, and delicious.

I'm guessing that sometime in the past this thread has been done before but I couldn't find it so just use this one!

Note, this thread is not just valid tonight! Post in it every time you cook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bratwursts on a George Foreman grill.

Buttered hoagies fried to a golden brown.

Sauerkraut warmed in a pot on the stove.

Last night I made this weird thing that turned out being great.

I fried up some onions in a frying pan, then grilled a steak that had been marinating in whorsheshire sauce, cut up the grilled steak (still red in the middle), threw it in with the onions, threw in some veggies into the mix (peas, beans, corn), then some rice, then 1 can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, added some milk, let that fry/boil/whatever for a bit, then added some tabasco sauce, salt, pepper, and in the end topped it all off with shredded mozzarella cheese

I have no idea what the hell I made, but it was delicious

Hamburgers with whorsheshire sauce, garlic, ketchup, and mayo.

And some water.

It was great.

Roast beef with Yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, parsnips and yellow peppers, boiled brocoli, carrots and runner beans, with a half-arsed gravy that was just a red-wine deglaze with the juces and blood. Imported Kenyan runner beans as pale a reflection of the real thing as always, plus they were those stringless ones that tragically have had the flavour bred out of them with the strings.

All in all bloody tasty, bar the pedestrian beans.

What's meatsauce? is that some sort of an euphemism for sex? (I really don't know)
No it's pretty much sauce with a lot of meat in it.

:gripe: Salad is not COOKING!

I currently have a lasagna cooling, fresh from the oven

It's 2:00 am in the night, I already ate my dinner.

I made a soup of veggies with meatballs.

I cooked nothing for dinner... but my night-time appetite will soon have me prepare a toasted sandwich: turkey ham, fontina cheese and a bit of tuna sauce.

probably just gonna eat some arancinis and cous cous.

Nobody felt like cooking tonight so we ordered out for pizza.

But for New Years I made a crockpot full of Jambalya. Chicken, Sausage and Shrimp; with celery, onion, red pepper, rice, some tobasco, and cajun flavoring. Family loves it.

And then to cool it off I made some bannanna pudding. Nummy.

Today, I threw a can of beans, some jack cheese, and pieces of left-over meat into a pan and fried it. It was really good. Like a cheese-steak with beans.

Yesterday, I threw a can of beans, some rice, and an egg into a pan and fried it. It was also really good.

Tomorrow I will throw a can of beans, some chopped banana, and eggs into a pan and fry them.
