What type of game are we looking for?

Skew towards agressive/expansionist civs will give a busy game with early conflict.
Skew away from agressive/expansionist civs will give us more time to get started before we get into serious conflicts.
Include civs from our culture group, randomize the rest will insure that we have at least a couple civs that don't hate us until we piss them off.
Randomize all of 'em is pretty obvious.

Personally, I like the historical feel of playing against civs that would have been nearby in the real world. Randomize the rest though.

Agree with the concept of having a few friends in the beginning and the great unknown (random) outside of that.

i'll go with skew away...as this is a new world for me, some setup time would be nice.

Who says they will be friends.

All random. We should not know against whom we're playing with.

All random is what I went for. Adds a little bit of realism so you can discover other civs. I've never really agreed with the grouping of civs anyways.

I think we should mostly go for peaceful civs, (France, India, etc) and only have the Germans as an aggresive one. They will likely end up as a super power and then we can have a cold war with them :nuke:.

60% shows a clear winner. shall we go with random AI?
by the way, is it 16 rivals, 8 rivals, or what? just for the record.

definitely randomized, picking the civ's we play against makes it seem a little less interesting.
