Although, I concur with what my dad says; that it's Norton and McAfee and all those companies which produce the viruses, and then make sure that they're available, always ready with some new antivirus program to protect people - of course, it ain't free!

he put itself on desktop, start menu, send to menu, right click menu
he puts additional icon on windows explorer
he scans your email by default
he annoys you "update your definitions" by default
I used to use Inoculan (InnoculateIT), but they went commercial on me.
Now, my autoupdater doesn't work, since I guess the account needs to be commercial. I have used F-Prot back in the good old DOS days. In fact, it's what I used for my DOS-based BBS.
