Was there ever a time when Firefox was a minority webbrowser in this forum?

;)

I use Firefox. Edit: Version 2.0.0.6 :)

What does it mean when a browser "crashes" as you people say it?

I switched from IE to FF, and am much more impressed with FireFox. See, I've had both browsers freeze-up and say that they've run into a problem and have to close, but with FireFox, I can restore where I was when it crashed, which is great.

I use Firefox. (I don't know what version, though.)

When it
(a) fails to start
(b) stops working and you can't do anything
(c) disappears leaving just the desktop or your OS's equivalent
(d) causes a bsod (blue/black screen of death)
Or
(e) turns off your computer,
it has crashed.

opera. afaik its the only browser with mouse gestures.
i wonder how many kilometers of moving the mouse from one corner of the screen to the other it has saved me. no more tennis arms from surfing the web :)

Well then, my computer has never crashed because of either Firefox or IE. :)

FireFox 2.0.0.6

Huh?

What do you mean?

Opera

Reason:
If i want to make Firefox like Opera i have install all sort of thingamabobs and i'm lazy.
IE isn't even an option.

None of the major browsers should crash with any regularity under normal operating conditions, in the vast majority of cases, crashes indicate an underlying problem with the computer, not a problem with the program itself.

Huh?

Opera has cool mouse gestures you can do for faster browsing. Right click+mouse down opens a new tab. Right click + mouse down then right closes the current tab. Right click + left click goes back, left click + right click goes forward. Lots of others, and they can be configured to do pretty much anything within the browser.

I thought the newest was 2.0.0.4

They've updated a couple times since then.

Internet Explorer. I use Yahoo.com as my homepage, and on another of my computers, it is Cox.com, which is powered by Google.

Firefox 2.0.0.X,(I dont know, its the newest) I wont be able to go to 3 because I have Win 98.

Huh?

mouse gestures means, that you dont need to move the cursor to the "back-","forward-" or "new page" icons.

you simply rightclick your mouse and move it to the left, right, up or down to go back a site in your history or open a new page, or copy a page, or whatever. really handy! and saves you lot of "onscreen-moving" :)

*oops, its already been answered
