What can be cause of that error?

What causes errors like that in shot below? I guess it's something to do with units i added lastly, but i can't find any problems.. and as much as i know, most faults one can do when adding units should give different error messages?! It seems like program error, but it's actually only because of one scenario. That happens before scenario has loaded into world customization screen, exactly when progress is on 76%. So if anyone has some clue about what can be exact cause of that, please tell me.

is that only with the added unit map or with ALL maps? even just normal games?

only this one.. that and the fact that i tried to import the moded things separately into a new map, made me think that it has to be something with units.. because when i imported units, it crashed also the new map/scenario, but for example, when i imported leaderheads or techs it worked fine.

sometimes there might be some really-hard-to-discover crashes.
what did you do to your units, pediaicons.txt and civilopedia.txt?

your game crashes before the world setup/player setup screens?

I got the same error message from a read only file and a palette that was more than 256 colors. It could be one of those. Does it say anything is missing when it at 76%?

yep.. it crashes before world setup and player setup screens
and no it doesn't say anything.. gives that error message that's included in my post.. i very much doubt that it is something about units themselves, cause i have not heared anyone other having trouble. Morelikely i have done something wrong.
I haven't looked if anything is read only.. but are you sure it can cause error.. well, i guess, i should look.

anything could cause an error. but i guess this will not be the standard pcx problem as you get that ingame most of the times when the game refers to illegal spots (like overindexing unit32 or resources palette or different unit folder and its .ini filename). it will have nothing to do with civ palettes cause that is the same category. i doubt that it is a rule issue either, because these have effect after the setup screens (like no citizen defined error), maybe you disabled all choosable civilizations in scenario properties window?

well you could locate this bug eventually most of the times. rename the scenario search folders: if then the map will load the problem should be there. if not it will certainly have to do something with the editor's specifications. i have never encountered such crash before so maybe other factors could also cause crash (opening files in different OS or i don't know).

hey, thanks guys for triyng to help.. but i found that the fault was really my own.
I forgot that just before adding last bunch of units, i fiddeled around with one's animations (tried a copy paste star wars droid's lasershots littlebit smaller and more brighter).. but i guess, i still don't know everything about that, and so i fuc..ed something up.. probably palette or some such. So fixing that was easy.. just had to delite that unit.. damn, in flicster everything seemed good, and i liked the change i did.. oh well.. anyways, at least i found out that i still don't know enough to modify units.
