Their neighbours

"not a bad team" means a world class defense and nothing else in the case of mexico, and "pulling off a surprise every so often" says everything about the us team i think (you cant really say germany or the czech republic pulled off a surprise when winning versus any team in the world, because they have a good chance to win versus any given team...)

oh man, is this off topic...

Out of the options availible, I'd have to say Celine Dion, but there's enough to be dissatified with.

I think my constant gripe is that our historical legacy (at least the part promoted by our government) seems to be tied up in obscure little contributions to larger things. Like how our 'history minutes' show Canadians' role in the writing of Winnie the Pooh: our military donated a bear to an English zoo that later supposedly became the inspiration for the book. Whoop-di-doo....

"A government that gives everyone a voice and is completely impotent"

"Celine Dion", a very, very close second.

Of course, we also got some good ones.

Dan Aykroyd
John Candy
Jim Carrey
The Immortal Phil Hartman
Mike Myers
Leslie Nielsen

and, of course...

Shannon Tweed

You can't hold people like Celine Dion, Bryan Adams (whom I've been told the Canadian Gov't has apologized for, on several occasions), and Avril Lavigne against them forever.

Stupid "entertainment news" shows like ET Canada, eTalk Daily, etc. Regular infotainment shows like Access Hollywood and ET are bad enough. Canadian shows, amp up the celebrity worship, and will report any moment where a celebrity will mention Canada, or any D-list celebrity with a most tenuous link to Canada does anything.

If meet any of the hosts of those show, I'll punch them in the face.

HEY! That's Inuit ! And they are part of canada :p
Wrong.
wiki said:
Eskimos or esquimaux are aboriginal people who inhabit the circumpolar region, excluding Scandinavia and most of Russia, but including the easternmost portions of Siberia. The two main groups of Eskimos are the Inuit of northern Alaska, Canada and Greenland, and the Yupik, comprising speakers of four distinct Yupik languages and originating in western Alaska, in southcentral Alaska along the Gulf of Alaska coast, and in the Russian Far East.
So nyer:p /maturity mode.

As a Canadian you should know we also hate these shows, but your massive TV networks forced them upon us.

Well, if you keep reading, it says that its a perjorative term...at least in Canada...and since we're talking about Canada in this thread...VICTORY IS MINE!
