"What do you want MOST from the next patch?"

How about:

Mousing over a worker will show what it's working on and how many turns to complete.

That would make me very happy.

Cheers.

Doesn't it already do this? It takes a few seconds my but game always popped up a little window with that info on workers.

MP people deserve playable MP.

Besides that, fix the crashes (1 per 100 turns for me, even on small maps), improve the AI and do some optimization. Mods can fix the rest.

Id like the next patch to add a competent ai, and fix the game but im not holding my breath.

For the next patch I want my $60 back. Or at least a portion of it...

Apart from that...

BETTER CITY PLACEMENT! Don't stick all your cities in bad spots next to your capital! Spread out man!

And if that's not acceptable I want the strategic AI to be fixed. I can live with crazy diplo (just ignore it) and the tactical AI is acceptable but the AI doesn't have good military strategies as a whole - like when to retreat and give up a city, when to attack an opponent.

Screw Firaxis patching the game! Just release the code already and let the modders sort out the game!

they would do a better job than firaxis, its sad when the modders have to step up and fix a broken game.

It works in 3D map already, and the delay can be modified from the options menu.

Unfortunately it displays an incorrect time (one turn too many except in the last turn) but yes, it's already possible

Stop the stupid way any unit can go into the sea!! Why need any type of naval units, and transports when whichever unit can convert to sea-faring unit!! Makes the sea totally unnecessary!!

PitBoss!!! Great software even if it had some major bugs, but pitboss for PBEM was great!!
Put out a better version of it for Civ5...

...that is if it is even worth it. Civ5 is crap and I hope it get discontinued and give all people that have bought it a completely new version based on Civ4:BtS, but with the new features of hex-grid, and Civ5 battle strategy (Flanking, No stacking etc....)

Well, if it were possible to do, I'd say fix multi-player. That includes the various forms, such as hotseat, &PBEM. Playing against a human would overcome the A.I. deficiencies, and while not exactly what I consider civ, it would be an interesting & challenging war strategy game, and well worth the cost. A sort of Panzer General for all eras.

As for Single Player, I think my priority remains diplomacy. Yeah, I have modern era crashes on huge maps, but I just start a new game... it's not as if there are victory movies yet, are there?

I would like Civ 5 to do my work, make me dinner, and have coffee waiting for me when I get up in the morning.

However it seems to me that the designers should fix their game before they "improve" their game.

Savegames sorted by date and not alphabetically

Keep improving diplomacy

Improve naval AI. The AI is getting better at naval ops, but it leaves too many units unprotected. It needs more escorts.

Improve performance. Stop units from moving around unnecessarily, especially city state units.

Do something about AI spamming cities wherever there is an open tile with a resource. I would love to see a distance from capital penalty.

The game's getting a lot better, with a couple mods I'm having fun.

I am with you on all of that!

As stated before, multi-turn unit paths... but more importantly...

move units that have been ordered on a multi-turn movement to MOVE BEFORE THE END OF THE TURN. It is so frustrating that you end your turn and *then* the units use their MPs, when it is far more useful, from a strategic point of view, to see units move to the places you ordered them to move to in the previous turn(s).

The beef is that your turn continues if a unit's MPs are not fully exhausted, but it does not if they are fully exhausted. If a previously ordered movement does not provide the defense or the result I expected, I should be able to respond in that turn - not the next! Since the unit is using that turn's MPs, not the next turn's.

A comprehensive civilopedia please.

Diplo could use some work too.
AI's will tell you that no deal is possible, while in fact there is, mostly when asking for gold.

Group selecting for units would be nice, for an overseas invasion for example.
Some kind of drag-and-select system would do just fine.
