I work at a pizza place and some people order the wierdest stuff. One of the wierdest has been a 8x8 inch pizza (it's Ledo pizza, it's rectangular or square) with pineapple, extra pre-cooked bacon (thats a ton of bacon for a small pizza, its microwaved bacon put on after the pizza is done), mushrooms, sausage, hamburger, and jalepeno's. I guess that's wierd for me because i just like pepperoni and sausage. I just think its nasty to be eating pineapple and pre-cooked bacon and mushrooms all at the same time. :vomit:

not necessarily on the same pizza at the same time, its all about a blend of tastes:

Pepperoni, Italian sausage, basil, oregano, pesto, chees, chicken.

What the hell is Canadian Bacon?

How could he leave off chicken???

Chicken with bacon and tomato is really good.

I like lots of cheese, olives (black and green), onions, pepperoni, sausage and hamburger. Garlic's ok too.

Isn't canadian bacon just ham?

HE WHO DARES NOT LIKE PIZZA SHALL ANSWER TO THE PHARAOH! Jeez, I can't imagine someone no liking pizza! Anyways, Pepperoni, sausage, and burger are the best...Pepperoni Rooolllllzzz!:band:

I think it is.

I like my pizza with either pepporoni or pepporoni and ham,

I LOVE pizza! It's the best food ever! :D I like one of two types: Sausage, green peppers and extra cheese if it's from Domino's. If it's from the authentic pizza place I love to go, just pepperoni. ;)

My wife and I fight constantly about Pizza Hut vs Papa John's

I'll settle this for you. ;) Whichever one of you votes for Papa John's is the one that's right. They make a darn fine pizza, but Pizza Hut is horrendously nasty. Waaaaay too much grease, at least where I come from.

And I don't know what the technical definition of Canadian bacon is, but I'm pretty sure it's the same stuff the Canadians themselves call 'back bacon'.

Me, I like pepperoni on my pizzas, and nothing else from most places. From a more gourmet-type place, I'll get things like garlic, basil, reindeer sausage, shrimp, or goat cheese. A potato and leek pizza is also a very nice thing.

My favorite delivery pizza is probably Papa John's, but i like dominos if i feel like eating eating some good greasy pepperoni pizza (not sarcastic, its good)

I've never examined any meat or meat product termed "Canadian bacon", but I imagine that's just the fancy name for something cheap. Think "shepperd's pie".

Chopped tomato & feta is enough for me. Some olives perhaps.

I like a soggy cheesey pizza too. That's done by putting meltable cheeses over vegetables. The steam of cooking veggies has nowhere to go but down into the bread. Does anyone else like steamed pizzas?

Pepperoni, Olives, Mushrooms and lots of Oregano!

That is a can't miss combination.:goodjob:

It is amazing some of the things people order. There were times when everybody in the kitchen would say yuck at the same time.

It is a pressed ham loaf. Very cheap, probably the build up they cleaned off of the machines down at the meat processing plant.

Yes, Canadians should probably be offended that we named an inferior meat product after your country.

I worked at Pizza Hut once - go with Papa Johns, trust me.

I really wanted to believe you, Chef.

Bacon, as most Americans know it, is taken from the belly of the hog, while Canadian Bacon is taken from the lean, tender center portion of the back. In fact, Canadians themselves usually refer to it as "back bacon". But its origin is definitely a credit to Canada.:p
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See, we invented this cut of the hog. Discovered it.

England imported its bacon from Canada a long time ago when there was a pork shortage in Britain. Though the bacon from Canada closely resembled English bacon (also taken from the choice center portion of the loin) it still retained its own unique flavor So, the English called it "Canadian Bacon" and the name stuck.

"Canadian Style Bacon" is the name used to describe Canadian Bacon produced in America.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perhaps USDA regulations require "Canadian style bacon" to mean back bacon, while allowing the loaf to be labelled "Canadian bacon". Stranger rules have applied.

Canadian Style Bacon fits the lifestyle of active, nutrition conscious people of today. :yeah: ;)
