Because it's almost as bad for you as non-diet soda, and since it's diet, you're more inclined to drink it. And drink more of it.

It's not even remotely as bad for you as non-diet soda. Aspartame is one of the most thoroughly tested drugs there is, and it's been shown to have no ill effects on humans. The hysteria against it is no different than the vaccine "controversy" et al - nothing but unwarranted populist hysteria and conspiracy theories that does not even remotely come close to what the scientific consensus shows.

To me, nothing says excess like an enormous soda. I call them soda bombs.

Venti caramel frappucino - Hella calories and it goes with your food, because it is not remotely filling.

I voted for the drink, since a double gulp is basically aa two Lt drink for one person. :yuck: But I would have voted for one of the burgers with just meat and lost of bacon and cheese, since they are just awful and so unhealthy. I felt that the cheeseburger and Big Mac Options did not satisfy what I was looking at. Any time I do get a burger, I laways make sure it is loaded with vegetables, to at least have some goodness in them. Also our portions are much smaller than what Americans have. Our Big Macs are quite small, thus they are not as bad. I am surprised that Fried chicken is not an option.

I must say I was shocked what you Americans did with salad. Normally a Ceasar's Salad (or the variant that exists here) consists here of salad and a few slices of meat. When I had one in New York, it was the opposite around...

But I must go with the baconaise. It just shows how you can make something already greasy and unhealthy even more disgusting. (no, mayonaise is good from time to time, but certainly not with bacon...)

Btw. Does anyone have that jon stewart daily show video, where he eats the corn dogs (?) with baconaise? ;-)

Agreed. Too bad mozzarella is so expensive. My general all-purpose is New York cheddar. Mozzarella and Havarti are nice occasional treats, because of their relative cost.

Anything with supersize in its name. It should be made illegal for fast food restaurant staff to ask you if you'd like to "upsize".

But seriously, the fact a supersize even exists is testament the spread of fatness and the obesity epidemic. I wouldn't necessarily say it speaks particularly of American fatness but instead more generally for any Western culture.

I want to say the double quarter point as it has more meats and crap than a Big Mac, but the Big Mac is more internationally renowned.

Damn you guys are making me hungry now!

The monstrosities on the website are simply satanic!

The dishes there make a regular cheeseburger seem normal...

You know, shockingly enough, I know people who drink diet soda because they like the taste.
