What happened on 9/11/01 (WTC/Pentagon Attacks)?

What do you think happened on September 11th, 2001 and what is your justification for those beliefs? Feel free to discuss.

The event took place essentially as reported, with Al-Qaeda terrorists under the authority of Osama Bin Laden hijacking four aircraft and destroying the World Trade Center and damaging the Pentagon.

The event took place essentially or similarly as reported, but there is some information that is being covered up by the government (or elements of it), about the events, but the government was not in any way responsible or complicit in the attacks.

The event took place essentially or similarly as reported, but the government (or elements of it) knew that the attacks were coming and did nothing to stop them in order to use the event to further an unstated agenda.

The event took place essentially or similarly as reported, but the government (or elements of it) was working with the terrorists (under the CIA or other agency) to attack America in order to further an unstated agenda.

Also, there are many polls floating around that some majority of New Yorkers and many others believe that the government was complicit in the attacks or at very minimum knew that they were coming and did nothing. What do you think about this information and what it means for our country?

Islamic terrorists based in Afghanistan flew 3 planes into targets 1 in to a field in an aborted jacking. 2 of the worlds tallest buildings fell killing over 2000 people. And I lost a friend in the plane that flew into the Pentagon. And had 2 others suffer injuries inside the Pentagon. My cousin rushed to the ruble pile to try and rescue his fellow fire fighters and now has breathing problems.

As for the options, the first one comes closest. Of course, there are debates about who did what with which intelligence reports, but it doesn't change the fact that neither Bush, Clinton, Clarke, the Freemasons, Skull & Bones, etc., etc., etc., had any hand in the attack. That lies squarely with those that hijacked the planes and the networks and allies that helped them in that plan, including al-Qaeda, including the Taliban.

It would be foolish to believe that the intelligence service would tell us EVERYTHING that they know/knew about the attacks, so I'm sure the government/CIA knows something that we don't. But I'm sure that's true about everything.
