What have you learnt from video games?

I've learned that going around smashing up barrels and vases will reward you with money and ammunition.

I've learned it's worth killing enemies who wield chainsaws since they'll be carrying lot's of gold or a valuable ruby.

Strange pictures with tiles missing and mini-games will always reward you with treasure and/or a hidden path if completed.

If you find yourself completing your primary mission objective very early on, then things are about to go horribly wrong.

If you've not met an enemy for a good 5 minutes and come to an elevator that'll take 5 minutes to reach your level, then something nasty is about to show up.

I learned that if you massacre all of the inhabitants of a small, remote town, leaving no survivors, every guard in the entire world will instantly know of your crimes.

I learned that it is impossible to ask someone blocking your path to move out of the way; you will either have to kill them, jump over them, or use console commands to move them out of the way.

I learned that items can float in the air if you stack them on top of other items and remove the items on the bottom.

the elder scrolls:confused:

I think the first two are Elder Scrolls, but the bottom one seems more like Halo...

They're all from Elderscrolls.

I learned that in order to get to the boss's room, you must find a giant key inside of a shining, golden chest.

I learned that a musical tune will play every time you complete a puzzle.

I learned that if you kill an undead creature and destroy its corpse, it will come back as soon as you reenter the room but if you leave its corpse alone, it will remain dead.

Doing certain feats will make an indicator appear, saying "Achievement Unlocked" along with the arbitrary name assigned to the task, and an arbitrary point value assigned to the feat. This can apply to everything you do.

I've learned that shooting someone in the head isn't fatal but will only stagger them, upon which you can (and only then) roundhouse kick them in the face.

Getting yourself shot/slashed/stabbed or having a giant steel beam slammed into your face at high speed are all injuries that can be healed by eating some herbs.

I've learned that everything you may have questions for will be explained to you in good time... bad guys hate to let people die ignorant.

Drinking a lot of radioactive water can adversely affect your health.

I have learnt that if one builds up speed while towing something and turns sharply, tractors and tow trucks are capable of exceeding the speed of light.

I have learned that if you meet a girl via the internet it may just work out. :love:I have learned it is fun to be a communist roman.
other than that they have already been said. :mischief:

You can reload a double-barreled shotgun in about 1 second.

If you trap someone in a bubble then pop the bubble they will turn into a piece of food.

If someone is electrocuted, drowned or set on fire they will turn into a gem.

The Parthian empire had control of Susa in 270 BC(E).

Using a rifle grenade is as simple as point and shoot.

Its perfectly normal to hold a firearm by jamming it into your chest.

I learned that mountains are dormant volcanoes.

Are they not just "extinct"? "Dormant" would imply that they could erupt again.

Mountains and volcanoes are totally different things.

I'm referring to the fact in my Civ games my mountains explode and destroy my cities, as they are 'dormant' volcanoes.
