I think it is the Legend of Zelda series. And what is the best game of the year, I think Madden NFL 2004 because C3C isn't all that I hoped for. Any comments?

Darklands sticks in my mind as the best computer game I have played. Its an old old title now, but I haven't heard of anything coming along to match it.

First- This belongs in All Other Games. I can see our moderator moving this in the very near future. 
Second- Madden GOTY?
No Madden game should ever get GOTY, or any sports game for that matter. Not even Mario Kart deserves GOTY. No, GOTY should go to Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker even if it was released in March and has Cel-shaded graphics. Anyone who could look past the fact that the graphic style is different could see the true beauty of it, especially with the small things like the leaves fly in the direction of the wind, or the moon not only changes phase but can be covered by clouds. Sure it was short and a bit easy, but it's still great.
Madden getting GOTY is like Matrix Reloaded getting best picture, it simply shouldn't even be considered at all, even if it is extremely popular.

I've been playing a bit of Warcraft 3 in between civ, so i'd say that for a top game (probably not of this year tho, been out for a bit).
haven't got any new games this year so couldn't say. apart from the warcraft 3 expansion, that is, which was good fun, but not a new game in itself.

Believe it or not, my wife and I got hours upon hours of real enjoyment (and a bit of frustration, might I add) out of the Sonic the Hedgehog series for the Sega Genesis.
