What is the highest (total) income per turn you have ever had in any Civ III game? (The green figure in the domestic advisor screen)

If you have >10000, pls. state how much.

i had like 1800 before but that was from tech sales and stuff.
my highest without sales of techs and luxs and resources would be around 1200 i guess.
having markets/banks/airports/harbors in every city helps. more people = more money. the mountains with gold u gotta definetely get roads on. a course u need democracy to get that much money a turn. once ur at the later stages techs sell real high per turn and acourse have real high resources.

If you mean gross then currently I'm in the high 9000's. If you mean net with science at max for minumum turns then 3000 or so.

just use the gross figure with science & luxuries set to your normal values in your game.

Having science improvements also helps if your science bar is >0% and marketplace/banks etc help if the tax rate (after deducting science & luxuries) is >0%. I don't even build banks since they cost maintenance and my science is usually set to 100%.

Slothman, how did u get it to the 9000+ range? surely that's only possible on a huge map with lots of cities, but won't corruption kick in after 7000 or so with only your capital & the forbidden palace?

Well I first have MANY cities, maybe 80 or so, mostly big ones. I also decreased the effect of corruption by increasing the "optimal number of cities" and adding more "reduces corruption" improvements. For democracy I don't allow corruption to be more than 10% with a courthouse and police station. I'm also in a golden age right now so it will be lower when it ends. I have many banks and marketplaces as well. I'm playing in prince, er regent, if that is important. I'll be switching to king next game.

I have almost 7000 gold coming in (before expenses and corruption). I have something like 200 cities (probably about 125 of them newly conquered/settled). Corruption is taking about 3500 away (this is in democracy), so with my science at 60%, I'm making about 700 gold/turn profit. This is on Regent with no rule changes.
