[BNW] What is the latest and easiest way to create a MP_modpack

Seriously, this forum could use some clean-ups of some stickie thread. Many are really outdated and there seems to be confusions around latest approach to create a MP modpack?

So what is the easiest way now a days? When I say easy, I mean minimum installation steps.

Is it to change the xml files?
Or is the MP enabled modpack build in SDK still a good approach?

I want to be able to play the community mod in MP
