What is wrong with the Bruins?

They're sliding fast. Everything they worked so hard for is going down the poop shoot.

Sergei Samsonov needs to get better so he can come back to the best line in the league. Him, Thornton, and Murray is a scary combo.

But, most important: They need to trade Kyle McLaren 'cause he's being a little ***** and holding out. I say trade him to Buffalo for John McKee, which they probably won't because having McLaren in the same Conferance would suck.

Here about the chance of Ottawa folding sween? As a fan of the Bruins, i can feel your pain, but i think they will wait until Ottawa does or does not pay their players. If the whole team goes on the Free Agents list, look for the Bruins to pursue Wade Redden a great defensman and some premier forwards like Hossa and Alfreddson.

Nah, Ottawa won't fold. They're a good team, and chances are they'll get sold to some place ridiculous like New Mexico. It's sad when Canadian teams are doing so bad at drawing crowds, but it's Canada and they can go to much better hockey games then the NHL so why bother?

honestly I wouldn't mind seeing Chara join Stock and Zamuner in a crusade to kick everybodies ass. Infact, I should call O'Connel and make it a priority to pick up Chara. I'll get my assistant right on it.

who do you think they should trade McLaren for? I say either Chara or McKee... but, in reality the best situation would be from another Conferance. You don't trade somebody like McLaren unless you get somebody as good as McLaren, and that's an easy thing to find.

I would trade McLaren for Brad Stuart of San Jose. He is good, and unlike McLaren, Stuart played all 82 games last year! That would be great. Plus, he is relatively young.

I don't think the Sharks would do that, because they are already a dominating team, and they'd rather have a consistant player then one who's injury prone. I would take Jovanovski from Vancouver. The Canucks could use a strong defenceman like McLaren, and the Bruins could use an offensive defenceman to join Berard.

Ed Jovanoski? Now i can say to you that there is no way Vancouver would do that trade because McLaren is nowhere as good as Jovanovki. Although i would like to see him because he is one great defenseman.

Kyle McLaren and Ivan Huml for Ed Jovanovski. Huml is going to be a great player.

Now that is what i would do with McLaren. Combine him with one or two other players and ship them as a package. There was some talk about McLaren and Lapointe being on the block and were close to a deal with some team, but i think those were rumors or the deal fell through.

there is no way Lapointe is going anywhere. With him comes his contract, and he's being paid way too much money then what he's worth, even the great effective player he is. besides, he's a huge part of the bruins locker room. they need him for his experience and charisma.

as much as i like Knuble, i think he would be part of the deal if anybody is added on top of McLaren.

Knuble?!?! He has been one of the better B's since Samsonov has been gone and that has been awhile! He consistently is there helping Murray, Thornton, and Rolston on the power play, and during 5 on 5. He is way too valuable to the team. I would throw in (for Jovanovski or Stuart) McLaren, Lee Goren, and maybe some good but not to good AHL defenseman from Providence.

interesting the way u guys keep talking about jovanowski, mckee and all these great players (Brad stuart), but one question comes to mind. Why would any other team want the ****** Mclaren. I mean he would be a good player if he didn't get injured but he wants way too much money for being average. I am a bruins fan and would love all these defensemen (including tom Poti, Wade Redden) but why would the other teams want Kyle.

Secondly i vote get a rid of Lapointe because he's in a downward spiral this season and his contract is too expensive for him to suck. I say trade him for another younger player and hope for a draft pick or a prospect. Any other team would love to have Lapointe, but not his contract.

True Unregister, but Lapointe could always come back to help the B's since he is a great player who is always available for a great comeback opportunity. And i don't think that the Bruins would trade a good (cause he still is) player like Lapointe for a probable unproven rookie or a draft pick that could be a bust.

In the next week, i am expecting a trade from the Bruins that moves McLaren and possibly someone else with him.

And the Bruins have lost again tonight by the score of 5-2. They lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs. And the bad streak continues.

Oliwa had a fighting major. Go figure :p

WOW. the Bruins WON today 6-2 against the Maple Leafs!

And to add some more rumors, i beleive that the B's are tradin McLaren and Lapointe for Brad Isbister and Dipietro.

Close enough sween. The Bruins traded Grahame to the Lightning for a stupid 4th round Draft Pick in 2004. Now talks are beginning that they are going to somehow trade for Roberto Luongo or Rick DiPietro who are both very promising young players.

Lapointe is in Boston with such a large contract for one reason: playoff experience. That's it. He's a huge addition to the locker room and overall spirit of the team. If Joe Thornton hadn't come into his own yet, then Lapointe would probably be the Captain of the team. He's relied on to make big hits to get the team into it, and talk some spirit in the intermissions. He has never been a big scorer, except that one 20 goal year with the Red Wings; but look at the line he was on! Ken Baumgartner could have scored those goals with that team.

Why would a team want McLaren? He's one of the biggest hitters in the league, he's young, and he always knows where to be. Remember when he started playing? The kid was a prodigy. He's well respected, but his injuries are a huge dissadvantage. Unfortunately, he's going to be the next Gordie Kluzac.

I'm going to miss Grahame, but Shields has been more hot. Raycroft is just amazing, and is the future of Bruin goaltending.

i can't believe they lost that game to the penguins.

Jovanovski is an all-star player. He quarterbacks the power play, he can take out a forward no sweat, he can carry better than Shaq and his shot is hard + accurate. Why would we give him up for another Murray Baron and a rookie who could go either way?

Back to the topic, Boston is playing poorly because the dumb Boston fans aren't showing up to the games.

fans are not showing up because of ticket prices. $28 USD to sit in the very last row on the balcony.

boston fans have always gone to games no matter how bad they were playing, and it's a shame that now that they are one of the more feared teams in the league by the NHL players (not so much so with sammy gone for the season) they have to boost tickets prices to unreasonable extents. and it goes up every year.

did anybody see their 3-3 tie with Washington? what a great comeback. Thornton is just amazing.
