What is your biggest fear?

no offense to anyone here who is, but I would fear being deaf most I think. It would be lonely, plus I really like the sound of peoples voices.[/QUOTE]

No... I fear blindness MUCH more than being deaf. Imagine a life with no sight. It makes me go cold.

Your greatest fear is being deaf? What about being a paraplegic, or blind, or a leper, or a ******? Your greatest fear being deaf, sure. Your "no offense" does nothing to dull the insult.

are you deaf? blind? paraplegic?

then you have no idea what these would be like. for me, not being able to listen to music would be awful.

being disabled in any way. I'd rather die. Otherwise, I fear nothing! I laugh at the steely face of death and kick him in the nads.

I don't fear death. I fear dying early before I've done everything I want to do. I'm working on a book so I don't want to die before I finish it obviously. I also want a family. I would also like to start a business. I would also like to travel and volunteer in developing countries and would love to start animal shelters and animal welfare awareness. I know lots to do, so I'm not ready to die yet. But fearing death is also not compatible with my Buddhist philosophical beliefs. So I try not to think about it.

Pah, being mildly disabled is awesome. You get all the benefits of real disability benefits while not being disadvantaged too much!

anything with more than 4 legs scares the bejeezus outta me. hights as well. worst case scenario is trying to climb down a stepladder attached to a walking 100 foot arachnoid in order to escape his/her 500 strong offspring that are crawling all over her body... great, there is a dream for tonight. I was hoping for something involving Kristen Bell and my high school crush...

oddly enough not that scared of death. dying? sure. a lot. death itself? meh.

Not me. I couldn't stand not being able to listen to music ever again, or the radio, or even the sound of my own and other people's voices. I think deafness would be awful but I don't often worry about it. I think my biggest general fear would be to try as hard as I could in life and still not make it.

Somewhere between death, extreme poverty, and extreme manual labor after having spent almost a decade in post-secondary schooling.

"Extreme manual labor"?

Like picking cotton. :)

Like picking cotton. :)
That's not sufficiently extreme. You need to be picking cotton solely with your teeth while riding a Tyrannosaurus rex and being mauled by several irate monkeys.

To each his own when nearly discussing superlatives. :)
