Hi :wavey:

I had a song on my computer for some time now and i have no clue what it is or who sings it. There is no way i can google the few lyrics it has, i don't even know what language it is. So i have uploaded a 13seconds portion of that song.

Here it is. (250kb aprox)

I really don't think you can actually id the song - instead:
Could someone please write me the lyrics so i can google them ?

Cheers

EDIT: OMG - It's in GREEK :run:

Sounds like Czech or Polish to me... though it might be Serbia too. Actually, I can't be sure, but it really sounds like Czech or Polish to me. :crazyeye:

No guesses ?

Oh well, it looks like i'll have to find some people to PM from those aproximate countries. It's worth a try. Thanks. :)
I'll start with Croatia & Serbia and work my way from there. :D

I don't think it's a Slavic language. Too bad there are only few words in that sample.

Thanx for trying guys :salute: :worship: - the list of potential languages should narrow down a bit with less slavic languages.

Unfortunately those are the only lyrics in the song. :( The song is mostly instrumental, it's a house(???) song with a lot of pan flute sounds.

But is it just me or is she saying something with "aqua" in those lyrics ? If so then i should probably try with romance languages now ... but the other words don't seem latin at all. :crazyeye:

At first I thought I heard "aqua" too, then I was almost sure it's something Slavic. After listening it again, doesn't seem Slavic to me any more, now it seems more like Indian to me. :crazyeye:

The first words sound somewhat Finnish or maybe Swedish/Norwegian, but i dont speak any of those so i could be totally wrong, it am pretty sure is Neither Dutch or Italian.

by the way, where did you get the song from, what was the original name of the file etc. those things might help.

Sounds French - very similar to pieces by "Enigma", could be one of theirs.

I heard a letter "Zh"(Ž) in there, those letters have Indy people and Portuguese (that I know of?). It ain't from Balkans either! unless its Albanian???
Indy ? As in, from India ?

So, does anyone know any Portuguese users ?

Actually it doesn't help. I got this song 7 years ago from a friend who didn't have a computer. IIRC he recorded it from another CD with selections. The recording is of very low quality - it overlaps another song at one point and you can hear screeches every now and then.
The song's original name is "Juno Reactor - Shark".
The song's style does match Juno Reactor's multi-cultural songs, but it is clearly not Shark from "The Bible of Dreams" album. That song has nothing in common with my song here.
I think i can get Juno Reactor's whole discography but i don't think i'll find anything helpfull since i already had 2 bestoff albums of his.

No, i've listened to almost all Enigma songs - it's not theirs, even tho it is their style.

I suggest two things. First - make the file easier to download (box.net for example), so people don't have to jump through hoops to get it - I bet you a lot of people who saw this thread didn't have the patience to search for it.

Second thing - rather than asking for identifying the song, start a thread titled "What Language is This". You'll get more responses that way. Once somebody identifies the language, you'll be able to get a translation, and then hopefully the song itself via lyrics.

Thank you. I reported myself (i love doing that :D) to change the title.

I did not know where to upload my file that's why i chose the one i did. Your's is MUCH better thank you.

:)

For those who said portuguese, AFAIK it is not that I may still be learning it but, I am fairly sure.

I wouldn't rule out finnish, allthou I am no expert since my knowledge of it is from just a few finnish ska bands I listin to.
