Sorry, It only allowed 25 spaces
Willy Orange. Me likey his traits, and the East Indiaman kicks some serious behind.
Gandhi for me because I have the most success with him
Wel he is Spirtiul
Hmm, seems I'm one of the rare players who likes Mehmed II. I think both his traits are excellent for quick expansion and the Hammam (+2 happiness, +2 health) only helps with that. Janissary isn't bad either. He has to be my favourite atm. But since he wasn't available, I voted for my other favourite Frederick. Always seem to have the best games with these two guys.
Fredrick is Creative and Philosphical which are both great traits
He has the Panzer which can be a major turning point in any Modern/Industorial war vs. Germany
Mehmed II is Expansive and Orginized one is good for expanding and the other for money.
The Jannisry is great for early wars
Frederick was the first Leader I played as because creative and philosophical meant cheaper libraries and universities, on top of loads of great people and free border pops. But as a peaceful player I became addicted to culture wins so started using industrious. First I used louis for creative + industrious and his great UB, currently I've been playing Qin Shi Huang for better defense on higher difficulty levels. Those protective Chu ko nus are invincible up untill Rifling, but then you can just upgrade them to counter whatever your enemy uses.
Next I want to try a financial / industrious leader with the Mali civ for cheap mints, plus the extra gold, while sacrificing the culture boosts and defence that the french and chinese get.
Mansa is spiritual, not industrious. That's pretty good for culture though (you can keep in everyone's good books by agrreing to civic change demands, plus you can switch back and forth between slavery/caste and organised religion/pacifism).
I want Industrious
You can pick any leader to any Civ using unrestricted leaders, and I still havnt tried it. I never change my civics more then once anyway regardless of the AI asking just to make me waste my turns. Once I have them, I always run rep / free speech / slavery / Mercantalism /
I hardly ever need caste system. I find two artists in my culture cities and 2 scientists or merchants in the others to be enough.
Yeah I find for casual players that caste system is basically worthless. It's only good for those hardcore micromanagers and specialist players.
I reccomend giving Franklin D. Roosevelt a try. He is industrious and organized. 2 extremely powerful traits, especially together.
Quite a few people like him
Ever had a naval unit exploring your territories, declaring war on you and dropping troops into an undefended or lightly defended city? I guess not but that's what Willem can do
New poll for leaders coming up
I had a great game with Zara Yaqob
I played with Zara, very dimplomatic if you know what i mean
I like Roosevelt with his Industrious/Organized. The organized is good when expanding or maintaining a large empire
i like William van Orange and Isabella pretty good, and my next game i have decided to be Suryavarman II
