I miss Sevo and especially TheLopez. Sevo I know is still alive because he makes a post from time to time. But I have heard nothing at all from TheLopez in 9 months. I hope he is alive, he went away so abruptly. Anyone had any contact with him since that? Wish I had his email.

Do you miss any other skilled modders? Maybe they still posts from time to time like thamis.

Sharick, nautil, WhiteRabbit - mostly because i'm right brain graphics maker - all of them are legends amongst modders. They we're first who changed game (and theire units are top quality) and helped to change the game others writing great tutorials (probably without sharicks or whiterabbits tuts my units won't be animated even now).

The Lopez's modcomps are also really great - he was real code factory.

Luckly there's couple of new names and couple of old names wich stays with community too. They make great things.

nope :(
When i was starting to mod he was finishing it so i don't know him well, but his help and models are top quality.

Even now i discover things that Rabbit, White did long time ago.

I could try to contact with sharick - i think i have mail to him.

I sure miss thelopez. I talked to him alot, and he was about to realease the big editor and the golden megamod when he left.

Anyone else miss a modder? I will add him to the list.

Edit:
A couple more: The Great Apple and Mylon

Chalid from early FfH. He definitely dropped off the face of the Earth. :(

I worked with Sevo, he was a real cool guy.

TGA was one of the first people to help me with understanding Python. TheLopez regularly answered my questions, and gave me the opportunity to bugtest for him when he was releasing his modcomps every other day.

I wish they'd all come back!

Definitely miss TheLopez and Rabbit, White as well as everyone else on the list. :(

I'm with asio on this one Sharick, nautil, WhiteRabbit are definitely missed. If it wasn't for GeneralMatt and a couple other possible new unit makers, Civ4 mechanical units would be suffering - there's just to much to make and not enough time.

Some of those civ3 modders used to have another forum somewhere, there was a ton of units that weren't seen on civfanatics (no, not apolyton). Especially many, many ships. Does anyone know that site? I've long since lost the link.

Totally agree. A lot of the modding and art prodigies up and disappear randomly. Also ganart, his artwork is simply unmatched.

Sevo and Thelopez fo sure but specially Rabbit White and Chalid for their contribution to FFH and the general Civ4 art modding (btw, where did you find a Chalid's LH, I thought he was only doing units and buldings).

Chalid dissapearing is really weird. He dissapeard just after that we(the FFH team) heard the news that we will participate on the next expansion. He seemed motivated to participate to BtS and he disapeared without comments. And he's still the creator of (my opinion) the best unit ever made for Civ4 : The Dragon.

I definitely miss TheLopez more than any other. He really helped me in my early modding days! I think the reason he left was because he recently became a father, & I guess that proved much more time consuming than he had originally thought!

Aussie.

It's not only yours opinion.
He did what seemed to be imposible - the model, the texture, the animation, the effects - everything in Dragon is much above the level of quality we find in game.

I'm missing also couple of people from 1939 mod team - they would come in handy especially now when 1939 2.0 beta is getting to be finished in couple of next months. It would speed up process and add "cherry to the cake"

Well, in fact, the Dragon's texture was made by me, but I do not have a lot of credit because it was in the time that I CnP morrowind texture(so its skin is only a morrowind's texture manipulation), so it'snt hand painted. In fact, Chalid wasn't so goo at texturing, but he's still the one who made the more complex model and animation. His kraken is an other good example. The texture is plain, but the model and animation is an other masterpiece.

Saw some old posts and remembered Master Lexx (GreenMod) and Exavier (CompositeMod). Chatted alot with those guys back then.

I miss Sn00py myself. I really enjoyed his Civ 3 terrain graphics and was hoping he'd do some more for version 4. But he disappeared shortly before the game came out.
