Was browsing around YouTube and this got put in front of me. I almost fell out of my chair. I played this album a lot in high school, back when I was a vinyl-head, but I don't think I've listened to it in 30 years.
When The Real Thing came out and "Epic" was everywhere, these guys kind of irritated me. I thought they were just a Red Hot Chili Peppers ripoff, so I turned my nose up. Angel Dust was a different story, though, and I really liked Mr. Bungle. (Technically, Mr. Bungle's first album preceded Angel Dust, and you can hear some of the influence of the former on the latter, and I think I heard Angle Dust first and then went back for Mr. Bungle.)
