I continue to have the same feelings as last time…

"Oh, the summertime is coming
And the trees are sweetly blooming
And the wild mountain thyme
Grows around the blooming heather

"Will you go, lassie, go?
And we'll all go together
To pull wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather
Will you go, lassie, go?

"If my true love, she won't have me
I will surely find another
To pull wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather...."

Beach music from the 60s. Rip Maurice Williams

Hairy stuff from the 80s;

🤫
I pretty much hated hair metal back in the day, but I've mellowed since then. I just heard "Youth Gone Wild" (1989) by Skid Row for the first time a few months ago.

Incidentally, if I had a time machine, the music scene in Los Angeles in the 1980s was unbelievable. Madame Wong's and The Hong Kong Cafe were literally right across the street from each other; and I think the Whiskey, the Roxy, and the Rainbow are all on Sunset. You could go bar hopping and catch Guns n' Roses, Motley Crue, and Jane's Addiction all on the same night. You might not ever hear the same again, and you could die from alcohol poisoning, but okay. Then the next weekend, you could see The Go-Go's and Suburban Lawns at Madame Wong's, and Fear and Catholic Discipline at The Hong Kong Cafe, all in one weekend. Again, survival might not be guaranteed, but it'd be worth the risk.
