What next? Egypt Emperor Hatty

Few thoughts. Why are you not running caste? With Caste system Memphis could be running 5-6 scientists? Using a 2 food 1 hammer tile in any city seems a waste. You could use a good GP city. Academy in capital is a must. Philosophy could of been bulbed by GS much earlier.

Why are you not growing cities? You are running all these production tiles yet many of your cities are 3-5 pop below happiness cap. Your capital could of been running the grassland cottages much earlier. Your capital could easily be size 12-13.

In terms of lib there is no rush. No Ai has paper yet beyond you. You could easily grab military traditions from lib. Tech to within 1 turn of lib and tech out nationalism. With stone you should be able to build MM quickly.

In terms of whipping unis. You really don't have much pop to whip away. As stated above run some more food tiles in all cities.

Enough to be thinking about. Nice to see all the workers.

just for clearance (maybe it was missed in the post)... I switched to slavery specific for whipping unis.
Cap was i think 2-3 turns ago size 12 and is whipped for uni.
I could maybe more alternate between caste-slavery when waiting for enough pop for whipping uni in rest cities, that's right, I will correct it.

Working not enough food...you're right I dont MM cities much, rely a lot on automate and I usually turn "emphasize" buttons for city specialization (hammers prod, commerce commerce, gpp gp farms etc.)
Will look into it next session... now I will take a break from this game though :-). I am not consistent enough over long sessions.

GP farm was problematic... i used memphis (pigs+corn) and the sheep+corn city as gp farms each running around 4 scientists. Would have to check ingame how many GP i had...I think it was not enough or I misused them... (maybe even placed academy in wrong place? it's possible, since I didnt calculate with cap for cottages initially)

What about tech trades? Any pointers?

edit:

Exactly as I thought...
produced 2GS and 1 GM.
Academy is in memphis and the other GS settled there... what can I say? I am dumb...

Nothing wrong settling scientists early on. Long term they may generate over 1800 beakers anyway. I normally bulb philosophy as it is a great tradeable tech.

Nothing wrong whipping uni in Thebes and i did miss that.

I meant heliopolis for the 5-6 scientists. Been looking at too many saves.

Automating cities is always a terrible idea. Not wise to use them.

For tech trades beware of worst enemies. Zara and Cathy were at war. For me the likes of machinery will be cheaper to tech once 5-6 Ai have them.

Stick to the techs you need for what you want to do. Curs needs gunpowder and horse riding. I am sure someone else could provide more advice. :)

Note you don't need machinery/ most of lower tech tree for curs! I did try playing on from your save yesterday! I think bar a huge mistake you should win this quite easily.

ah nice that the save motivated you to try to continue... just out of curiosity... you rushed wash+charle with curs?
and the end was domination?

I never said i completed it. Got to liberalism point. Wasn't actually that bothered about ox uni.

You do have 2-3 very strong cities to use. When Memphis and Heliopolis grow you will have a nice GP farm and a good production city.

I reckon when you reach Curs Washington will have knights. Prolly best to attack the Dutch as Washington and HRE will never attack you at friendly.
