What resources you want to see in Civilization VII in the future that are absent from the game as of right now? I have added some that I want to see. Add yours below so that I can put them in the poll as options. Vote has no limit.
Do we have a resource list for VII? I was hoping that with the added Treasure Fleets we would have more variations of spice like cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, etc., so I can go full East India Company.
I’d prefer they had resource types for bonus resources like say “food” or “luxury good” or “industrial good” and then had flavor icons for them so that you could have say wine, wheat, olives and potatoes all as flavor versions of food with exactly the same bonus.
It’d keep things conceptually simple while allowing for more on map variety and beauty
All of this is about bonus resources not the actual resources

I don't think such a mechanic will be implemented. The way I see it, cheese will either be on the icon of the Cattle resource instead of milk or the resource will be named Cheese with a cheese head and slice on the icon, but the tile will show cattle. They did a similar change with the new Wool resource where sheep are shown on the tile, but the name isn't Sheep, so I thought the resource being named Cheese with cattle on the tile was fitting.
Sigh, I can't put more than 30 options . And the choices can't be edited. I added some fruits, gems and rocks, but unfortunately the poll can't fit some other interesting resources I wanted to add. Anyway, I will write them here for Firaxis to take notes. Blackberry, Onions, Carrots, Cloves, Nutmeg, Pepper, Incense, Mastic, Crabs, Lobster, Octopus, Deer, Boar, Bison, Cattle, Linen, Papyrus. Write your suggested resources below.
If I may make a suggestion, I would also like to recommend teak. It's one of the most durable trees out there and was quite significant to the economy of many South East Asian countries.
If rice is out, we riot. (No but seriously, rice is so significant to Asian countries. Taking it out while Civ 7 also seems to be taking a greater focus on Asian settings would be a crime)

I feel like the opposite. It's so significant, it shouldn't really be seen as a special resource to pursue. Maybe Asian civ farms should have some rice paddy graphics instead of more wheat-shaped fields.
Wait, wheat and rice aren't in the game? That's weird!! l'd like to see almost all of the resources mentioned in the poll, because the more of them, the more dynamic the game will be.

Right but in VI it was just a very common bonus resource. It couldn’t be traded and it didn’t unlock anything, but it was a bonus for farms and city settlement.
