I too currently use Windows, however, instead of getting a Linux, I am getting a Solaris.

Apple Macintosh is not an operating system.

The latest release of SunOS was 15 years ago.

Unix does not refer to anything useful within the context of this poll.

    I use multiple operating systems.

I never heard of Solaris. What is the difference between the two?

Solaris is a UNIX made by Sun Microsystems. It's similar to linux, but it's used primarily as a server OS

Why is this poll single choice? And why are all the poll choice relatively bad?

Windows has multiple versions, apple doesnt make a macintosh OS, it makes OS X. Unix exists in many flavors, Linux exists in many flavors.

With that being said, in this house we have: Win98, W2k, XP, Vista, Windows 7 ( in a couple hours), FreeBSD 7.1, FreeBSD 7.2, ZBSD 0.1 ( Custom kernel based on the FBSD one)

PCLinuxOS/Ubuntu Linux/Windows Vista. Ubuntu and Vista take turns as primary, depending on whether I'm playing a lot of games, or doing a lot of programming. I prefer Linux, but Wine still isn't quite there yet in terms of games compatibility, though it is very good.

XP for the past couple of years. Haven't felt interested in trying Vista yet.
