idk what i am
i guess economically within the current system i'm somewhere around a social democrat, in that i believe the state does some services (necessities & utilities) better than private companies in a capitalist system, and that the market drives the economy better when it comes to consumer goods. i'm further right economically from what most people would think on this forum. my issue is that most right-wing parties have been wholly consolidated by complacency and conservative interests (in that the purpose of capital is to demonstrate, project & consolidate power, the dream come true for the OG monarchist conservatist movement. the economic right never implements considerations in their laissez-faire policy that would prevent the establishment of a neo-aristocracy. don't get me started on libertarians)
in regards to affairs of applying power in the legal sense (general questions of authority as well), i'm very classically liberal in wanting broad voting rights & free movement, and hold individual experiences in higher regard than most people. problem is they often don't know how to solve it, and blame the wrong people. but i also want a heavily state funded education system and i respect institutions, as well as the qualifications of an educated government. for example, the notion of the american jury model perplexes me. it's like asking to get uneducated people get tricked by sophists. in denmark, most cases legal cases are heavily informed by experts in their field.
structurally, on a long term scale, i see assorted communist positions as being the inheritors of the classical liberal tradition moreso than classical liberals or libertarians or conservatives or what have you, also because i know my history. i don't see the capitalist system as is as being sustainable, and i reckon if stuff doesn't break we'll end up in a system akin to that. it's very vague though. i mostly like communists because they have thoroughly rigid knowledge of how large capital is ruining f everything
one place i'm absolutely unbendingly placed is within the question of the environment, where i'm very radical and think people should suck it up and live with some amends to their lifestyle & production method, including governmental initiative. of course, backed with properly educating people, most would side with discrete subsidies and legal restrictions on a number of productions & products. it's one of those places where i'll get yelled at by some jute farmer over being a hippie city boy but mate denmark is really flat and you can't grow wheat underwater. literally trying to save your goddamn farm
what i vote is basically classical social democrats (in denmark, not the actual party, since they're a austerity-complacency party harvesting votes from the elderly and the wealthy danish middle class), so i'd probably have to square it there to most people. but in a lot of cases, i'm actually quite right wing when it comes to questions like taxation. problem is just that most low tax policies just funnel money upwards. there has to be structural considerations around it.
so i X social democrat, but irt fiscal policy, i'm more right, just has to be overseen by strong institutions that are not prone to lobbyist bullhockey. and no right wing party is offering that. even people that talk to me privately would be surprised, the issue is that the power consolidation is screwing up the whole conversation about how it's good to be business friendly lmao
