I’d describe myself as practically, politically homeless. In limbo around the center-left of the political compass.

The ideas of social democracy resonates with me as it’s a system that has a strong social safety net, support for labor unions for skilled labor, and reigns in the excesses of capitalism within a mixed market economy, and still holds into the values of electoralism and the values of liberalism (Individual rights and free speech within reason). I very much oppose toxic progressivism, divisive identity politics, and HR Liberalism. I’m very strongly anti-communist (especially against Marxist-Leninist, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist, and Maoist ideologies) as not only am I against violent revolutions and against rejecting the electoral process, I like having to keep my property (My car, my computer), wealth (Savings and 401k), and freedoms.

Since January 6th, 2021, I have grown a distaste towards Donald Trump and I consider that event a sort of my own Charlottesville moment (read: a moral epiphany moment) and distanced myself quietly away from the anti-woke/alt-lite movement. Going through a lengthy period of internal rumination and reflections, nursing a moral wound on my own. Trump, At least in my eyes, has managed to unseat George W. Bush for the title of “worst United States’ president”.

Looking in the past, I recall someone made a prediction that would end up voting Trump in the 2024 elections. I proved them wrong when I voted for Harris in 2024 despite my own self-doubts and internal ruminations on my past. Seeing what has been transpired during the Second Trump Administration, his attacks on freedom of speech and eroding the bedrock of of our republic and our democratic traditions (Trump having the east wing demolished for his elaborate ballroom serves as an allegorical message to me that he’s doing just that, eroding the bedrock of our republic). Made me feel that Harris should have won in 2024 and felt I made the right choice siding with her.

In a deep dive in looking into my stance, I’m likely a post-progressive SocDem.
