I think the YUMBO! and Thunderfall maps are going to become standards for comparison among CFC players, kind of like epic scenarios...

I fail to understand everyones desire to try thunderfall. True, he does an excellent job with this site, but why would that make 'his' map special?

After i try YUMBO!, just to see what happens, i will continue to use random maps unless ppl post here about really interesting maps that are generated via certain words.

BTW, Matrix, Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, [...], Fradelos, Braga, Emerita, Europe, Space, [...], God, Jesus, Mary, [...], Fun, Love, Joy, [...], PC, DiabloII, MaxPayne, ...

TF is the architect of CFC. Other from that, nothing in particular.

BTW, Many ppl say they will try numerous CFC names. I'd likle to see who is going to beat the Portuguese map with the Portuguese CIV ;)

Of course I'll also try many of your names...
(Eheheeh. I'm imagining: "I beat SirPleb on Emperor :D ")

What is the random map seed keyword feature? How many names are there, are they gonna generate special maps, and why do people think their usernames are gonna be random seed map? Somebody explain why people are talking about entering weird names into the random seed generator that won't be an easter egg because why are the game programmers gonna was their time using all of these names that only eigth people are gonna use?!?

You havent followed the link in the 1st post in this thread have you?

    Here is the relevent bit:-

"* Implemented ability to enter a seed value on
the world setup screen. It is located in the
upper-right corner. Any character can be entered
as the seed. If the seed is 0 (the default), it
will generate the world normally. If every
character is a number, the value is interpreted
as the seed value and used to generate the
world. In all other cases, a hash table formula
is applied to the string to generate a unique
value that is used to generate the world. While
it is technically possible for two different
strings to evaluate to the same seed, it is
unlikely (i.e., SEED is not the same as DEES --
upper- and lower-case letters will yield
    different results as well)."

In other words you may enter a word to generate a map. That word wll be converted to a code to generate a seed value. Therefore entering (say), "readposts" will generate the same map every time.

The programmer does not have to look thro this thread and enter all the names placed here - the User enters any name he likes, a formula is automatically applied to it, a unique value results and a map is generated from it.

    I hope that helps? :)
