I just got $30 and i want to buy a civ expansion- which should i get, warlords or bts? also very sad question- whats vanilla???

oh i just heard that BtS contains warlords is this true? i dont rly like scenarios

Vanilla is original Civ4. BtS has warlords

caution: to play the expansions you have to already own the original Civ4. i think you already have it and were just confused about the definition of "vanilla", and so you're good to go and can get an expansion. but i'd hate to see you waste $30 if you don't, so this is a "just in case".
