Looks just like some babushka :) (Mozilla dosen't even want to correct this word? :O it is an accepted english word.)
In my view, I see no reason why anyone can hat the queen, like she rides the public train?!
What kind of Monarch does that?
And people still hate her? :crazyeye:

Do you mean these are fake?

No, she really did ride the train. But that doesn't mean she didn't have a good reason for it.

Who cares? The monarchy is stupid anyway (I don't hate the queen, I hate the position the queen holds. The person, I have nothing against)

So does this make you hate the queen's cleverness?
It just makes me so happy to see the queen in such a manner, what a nice lady! The perfect old lady! Our QUEEN!

How dare she ride the same transit us peons must!

Are none of you aware that the Royal Family has private rail cars for their own use?

And so what if the Queen was doing a photo op on a commercial rail car? Photo ops are part of her job.

She fits :) She can totally do that nice and kind ol' grandma look.

Merkel would've shown cleavage.

:hatsoff:

Photo ops are for politicians who want votes and cred-- this is the reverse of a photo op. As opposed to her benefitting from the glow of the train, Lizzie instead bestows something on it.

This is actually something I think the monarchy is good for: civil servants will be inspired to do a better job by the thought that HM will see and judge their efforts (at least some of them will). I think it partly explains why the BBC is better than the CBC, which is better than any American news network. A forceful and well-loved monarch represents the people in a way that is difficult to ignore or abstract away, because so personal and immediate.

A civil servant can be cynical about politicians' expectations, he can rationalise all kinds of dereliction of duty, but there's no remedy for shame before the Queen except doing one's best.

she whipped each one of them while they are reaching their workplace.

An off-peak first class single for £44.40 (but they reserved a full carriage)

She has her own train - not sure why she isn't using that.

Excellent photos, good old Queeny! I don't condone the general idea of having a monarch, but if we have to have one, I'm glad it's her.

People are not really happy when the royals use the royal train/ RAF flights outside of official business, and this kind of public appearance is good for the railways PR.

I understand it's a wird concept for a lot of people but the train is faster and more convenient than a car, although more expensive. Intercity I generally drive because I'm skint, while my dad would take the train since he can afford to.

What he said.
