Hmmm.... I can see where this poll may end up on the toes of military polls.
From the Foreign Minister standpoint, it may be a question of "sue for peace" or "carry on with war". I guess if war is decided, then the Military Advisor would jump in with how to carry on the war itself. If peace, then what should we demand or be OK with giving up.
Glad this is being brought up, Civinator! We need this to be discussed. And regarding the English as well (perhaps the Romans too if were still at war with them).
Other things we may wish to consider is trading tech and maps with the other civs we're at peace with or establish peace with. Perhaps even demanding tribute - though I don't think that would go over too big.
We may want to discuss what would be needed for us to go to war on another's behalf. I know the Chinese contacted us and offered some stuff if we'd declare war on the Mongols - perhaps we should set up a baseline by which we'd say OK or even establish that this should never be accepted.
My thought in this case is to push the Zulus. Peace would be nice as it could give us a chance to prepare against the homeland invasion, but since we have a force ready to take a Zulu city perhaps, I would just assume take out the units that have landed, find a Zulu outpost, hopefully take it and Navigation along with it, THEN make peace to allow us to firmly establish our foothold near the Zulus.
