Sex, Lies and Videotape is still the goat as far as James Spader is concerned

Wifey and I watched a couple of eps, but it didn't really grab us. Maybe I should give it another go...I’m up to Season 1 episode 14 so far and thoroughly enjoying.
I actually remember watching an episode or two when it first came out years ago, and then stopping kinda like you - musta been my mood at the time. Then I started watching again a few years later and really got into it. I think I watched like about 4 of 5 seasons, before it seemed to lose steam for me, but it lasted a good 10 seasons, which is impressive. It is a bit like a cross between 24 and Alias, in the sense of crazy spy and conspiracy stuff. It really does hook you and gets bingy, but like those 2 other shows it reaches a point where it kinda loses the point. But hecka worth it for a while.Wifey and I watched a couple of eps, but it didn't really grab us. Maybe I should give it another go...
Yes, obviously we watched that one too! Liked it just as much if not more than S1, though I think it did suffer a bit from Netflix trickling it out over two months (you b**t***s!).Also, Wednesday.

Man is the master of his own fate, not the gods. The gods are man's creation to give answers that they are too afraid to give themselves - Ragnar Lothbrok

Season 1-4 of Vikings is amazing. Incredibly entertaining and riveting storytelling.
Last two seasons are a bit of a mess. Didn't help that the writers got very, very creative with the historical facts.
Ivar the Boneless never set foot in the lands of the Rus, I mean what the hell?!![]()
Ah..they are doing "Hedge Knight" finally. I've heard of a few GOT prequels/sequels that got canned, and thought this was one, or maybe something better was submitted. The cast is quite unfamiliar except for Spruell. But "Hedge Knight" has a novella to base it on.
If I recall, I think "Egg" is the maester fromm the Black Watch (Aegon) that was like 100+ years old
Don’t expect dragons and a big, magical scale to this show, either. “Nobody's thinking about magic,” Parker said. “This could basically be 14th century Britain. This is hard nose, grind it out, gritty, medieval knights, cold with a really light, hopeful touch. It's a wonderful place to be. We are ground up in this series, we are starting right at the bottom. We're not with the lords and ladies, the kings and queens."
“I’ve seen all six episodes now (the last two in rough cuts, admittedly), and I loved them," Martin said in a blog post in January. "Dunk and Egg have always been favorites of mine, and the actors we found to portray them are just incredible. The rest of the cast are terrific as well. Wait until you guys meet the Laughing Storm and Tanselle Too-Tall.”
Martin continued to celebrate A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, adding: “It’s as faithful an adaptation as a reasonable man could hope for (and you all know how incredibly reasonable I am on that particular subject).”
A tall tale that became legend.
MUSSOLINI: SON OF THE CENTURY, from BAFTA-winning director Joe Wright (ATONEMENT, DARKEST HOUR), is an audacious eight-part portrait of Benito Mussolini’s ruthless rise—from socialist journalist to Italy’s fascist dictator. Starring Luca Marinelli (THE EIGHT MOUNTAINS), this adaptation of Antonio Scurati’s prize-winning novel blends bold visuals, a hypermodern style, and an electrifying score by Tom Rowlands (The Chemical Brothers).
Critics Consensus
Luca Marinelli reigns over Son of the Century with a vibrant impersonation of Benito Mussolini, with director Joe Wright's highly imaginative staging lending a theatricality that suits the infamous dictator.
Rob Hood is an outlaw who steals from the crown and rebels against Norman authority, setting a dangerous precedent for rebellion.

Not exactly what I thought it would be. Was expecting a more crime procedural thing surrounding a murder, but we are instead following the family, journalists, mistresses and what have you.

I was just reading the synopsis on this.....the ratings are not very good. Interesting, I just noticed a new show about William the C and Harold Godwinson(with James Norton), that also makes the glaring and problematic anachronism that the Normans brought Christianity to England. Did not go over well with both shows.Sean Bean stars as the Sheriff of Nottingham Forest -
