I haven't worn a watch in years but it would be a good idea for me to get one now since I am taking the bus alot.

Any that you recommend? Preferably one that I can buy off Amazon & thus get a 6.5% kickback.

I prefer a metal wrist strap to a leather one, with numbers rather than without, silver (looking) as opposed to gold (looking), no ugly colors like blue or yellow (a slight neonish green or red is ok; just white, black &/or gray/silver are better), ideally under $100 (though feel free to post any really cool looking watches that may cost more) but post any watches that you like. :)

Also, does anyone have one of those watches that wind with the movement of your wrist? Do you still have to change the battery?

T'anks!

I wear a tan-wristband Coleman analog watch I bought at Walmart dirt-cheap. Good watch.

I got a Fossil wristwatch for free. It's sweet, metallic-silver looking and has the date. :)

I don't have a watch but I'll take cheapness anyday over shininess. of course, if the watch is both, then that's good too :)

A black and silver Swatch Irony. They look good, have a decent price (around $100) and are relieable :)

You can both metal and leather wrist strap.

I don't wear any. My cellphone is more precise that any watch you can buy, since is synchronized via high tech stuff.

But if you want to buy a watch, look for a thin one rather than thick one with loads of functions you'll never use. Thick ones are very uncomfortable.

I wear a chrome 12 year old Fossil with a blue face I payed $70 for at an outlet store. This is one well built hefty watch that has lasted through riding a skate board, working on cars and working construction. Before this I would go through at a rate of 3 a year.

I don't wear watches, sorry. I just have Baywatch.

I don't.

Despite all the crap it gets, "what time is it?" is a great opener. And if push comes to shove and nobody's around, I just look at my cellphone.

I have a Casio "tough solar" which recharges the battery. This one's bulky, which you should avoid if you can, but I'll bet there are other solar-powered models that are slimmer. A few other handy features: Phosphorescent style light-up is cool. And this watch has an alarm which lets you set the date as well as the time, a great feature for people like me without any actual memory in their brains. It's well under $100.

I got a real deal for my watch. Waterproof, looks good... Less than 10 dollars, and new.
