Yeah, me too. In one of my polls (THDP 3.1, I guess), I suggested the Sun Tzu, but I was completely ignored.
We have a lot of idle food caravans and we could build Sun Tzu very quickly, in any city.

Well ine one of the thread's i proposed to let the president decide whether to begin in constructing a wonder ,since they get a lack of attention in the city poll's and most of the time the president is aware wich wonders we could use.
It would go this way:
The president would open a thread onto suggestion on what wonder(s) to build ,and then he decide's in wich city's to build them.His decission would override the current construction decission of the people for the city he decide's to build a wonder in.We could also move up the current build order for that city for when the wonder is completed but since wonder building can take time ,and there can happen a lot in that time this wouldn't be opportune IMO.

Good idea, but this poll would have to be carefully planned, because citizens would want information about EVERYTHING in the empire before making such decision. This poll would need support from all ministers, to post information about their respective areas. Also, the governors would have to post the city status of all cities, since it isn't necessary to make a production poll for every city every turn.
All that information cannot be posted in just one poll.

Well the ruling cabinet should maybe have a discussion over it.
Maybe this needs a respected thread ,something in the form of "proposal 16" thread.Wich lead's me to an off topic question ,what about a standard in thread name's for proposal's ,discussion's ,negotiation's and such? because it can sometime's be very hard to spot the important discussion going around in this game with all those thread's.that way we have a standard for citizin's bringing in proposal's ,for engaging in discussion's or negoiation's when the matter's arise.
Another suggestion wich may interrest you as gouvernor ,what about a settler allocation thread?Basicly one thread for discussion's to keep it simple ,and because settler allocation is more of a national matter rather than a regional matter.Our alternative would be to hold a seperate poll on every settler.holding a poll about it in one thread include's a nifty polling system.one we need to invent ,or negoiate in a negoitation thread.

I like this idea, however there's a thin line between an important discussion and a less important one. We could create a standard naming for important discussions/proposals, but there are a few issues with it: who decides if the proposal is important ? how does one measure the importance of such proposal ? For example: pellaken, among others, thinks that the city naming is VERY important. But I don't think it's important, so I don't want to read that thread.
I like the current system: any citizen can start a discussion on something. If the feedback is good, then a cabinet member has to initiate an official poll over the proposal. If you are proposing that these official polls receive standardized names, then disregard the previous paragraph. I think this would be good for forum elucidation.
Great idea, organizing the settlers allocation would take a lot of burden out of the governor's polls. Maybe the internal affairs minister could do that ?

I thought that the whole point of democracy game was so that everyone votes for what they feel should be bullt.. This includes wonders. If the polls always say that we should build something else then so be it..Everyone likes wonders but in the current state of play it may cost us more dearly than stockpiling caravans for essential ones.

Well, as this is sort of a trial run game, such mistakes are understandable. The ruling council shld have alerted us to this before though.
BTW, did we have a poll to decide on building the MC and that other wonder? I vaguely remembered we did.

As far as wonder building is concerned, as the Deputy Internal Affairs Minister, I took it upon myslef to post a poll regarding the building of wonders. Choices included starting a few cities on Sun Tzu's while switching later when a new one becomes available, the building of extra food caravans, or nothing. I haven't checked it, buy I'm hoping that enough people have seen it and have voted to set up a general referendum.
If we have enough to get Sun Tzu's in terms of caravans, let's grab it. It is certainly a useful wonder and it would prevent the AI from starting it and possibly switching later to an invaluable one.
