I don't mind paying 50 USD for it. I hope it comes in a big cardboard box -as the original- and not in one of those horrible plastic cases.

It's labaled as being 49 CHF (around 45 USD) in Switzerland. I'll buy it anyway, so the price really won't matter for me.

I'll pay full price for it, assuming reviews aren't overly negative about it. That would be just over 40 euros, usually.

editL play.co.uk lists it as just over 25 euros

Amazon UK and Play.com have it for pre-order at £17.98 and £17.99 (25.49 Euro) respectively. The recommended price is £29.99

Probably $30. It still feels like just an expansion.

I think 30 USD should be appropriate.

I would pay about $30. I really want it, but I simply can't afford $50. If it is any more then $35 I will probably end up getting a torrent for it.

Anything over $20 for software is highway robbery.

Colonization at $50 will probably be a better deal than the $60 I paid for Rev.
Art is expensive so I wouldn't mind paying full price ($40-$50) with it's improved graphics over civ4.

50 £. or 500 nok or 90 us dollars, yeah i would still buy it.
Ps games usually cost around 500 nok in Norway, which equals to about
    85 dollars/ 45 £ .

you guys are crazy, i ain't paying over $20 for a game that is pretty much an expansion pack disguised as a brand new game. i won't support those kinds of greedy marketing schemes.

How is it an expansion pack? Is it because it uses the same engine? Do you know how many games used the Quake3 engine? Or the Unreal one? I really don't see the 'greedy marketing scheme' here. :undecide:

And besides, not even expansions cost 20 dollars on release.

I think the $29.99 price at GameStop and Electronics Boutique is very affordable. Especially considering it will come in a box and most likely with a printed paper manual, I'd say the price is quite fair.

it's basically a mod, or at best a total conversion mod. it's not a brand new game.

If you've ever played the origional, you'd know that it's almost nothing like Civ.

    Indeed.

The interface looks similar on occasion, but as cephalo said, the game itself is completely different from Civilization.

I would say a fair price (considering the graphics) would be between $30 and $35. I don't think it would be worth the $50 I paid for Civilization IV.
