Mozilla has a web browser, an email client, an IRC client, an HTML editor, and so on ad infinitum.
Firefox is a web browser and nothing else. Thus, Firefox is smaller and loads more quickly than Mozilla.

Firebird was the old version of what is today Firefox, Mozilla had a name dispute with another project called Firebird, so they renamed their browser Firefox and continued development.
