What's the EU?

European Union... Personally, I dont know how so many countries that hate eachother can work together... I'll give it 5 more years at the most.

Despite by being defeated by a far smaller army led by a man from Tunis... Obviously the EU will be something great.

Gosh your suprisingly wrong :lol:. The UK is usual not the prefered destination for EU immigrants, as Thorgalaeg's chart shows. The reason the half million Poles came was because of a lack of restrictions on entry (unlike Germany and France), and their arrival really hasn't been a bad thing for the economy. Those restrictions now exist for the Romanians and Bulgarians, so there is no reason they would choose the UK over many other fine EU nations.

Also since when has england been politicaly incorrect? Assuming your refering to the geographic and demographic entity sans the rest of the UK ;)

I'm not on about Poles. The amount of immigrants from other parts of the world is appaling. Do you think oour Government abides by these rules? No. They let anyone in. It is already said that they are on there way over here now, and lot's are already over here!

Have you read the chart i posted? :shake: UK is way behind many other EU countries in number of non-EU immigrants too.
 
According to the chart:

[ UK.............Germany ]
[ 1,71%..........2,52%... ].. percent of EU immigrants
[ 2,89%..........5,80%... ].. percent of non-EU immigrants

(just an example of the many countries with more immigrants than the EU. And don't forget Germany's population is bigger than the one of the UK, so 1% of the population of Germany is more than 1% of the population of the UK)
 
Comparing the UK to Germany? That doesn't really work. Germany's population is declining because the death rate exceeds the birth rate so the German population is declining (as in the natural German people, not immigrants). Immigrants are encouraged to come to the country because they need to fill the boots.

In the UK our natural population is increasing as our birth rate exceeds the death rate. We don't need this many immigrants as there are no boots to fill. The only reason they come here is to get free healthcare, free housing etc. The government isn't in control of immigration. They don't have a clue how many they have let in or who they have let in and they don't seem to care. There's no limit to the number who are allowed entry so they just keep flooding in and getting free stuff.

Germany needs lots of immigrants, the UK doesn't.
 
Read the chart posted by Thorgalaeg. You'll see most EU countries (excepting the newer ones, of course) have more immigrants than the UK. :)

According to this chart, Spain is the country with most immigrants, and Netherlands with most emmigrants. :) And still the UK imposes most restrictions. Did you know that today, December 31st 2006, citizens from Romania and Bulgaria need visa to enter the UK? Some hours before entering the EU! Honestly I just don't get it.
 
The UK has been bombarded with immigrants for centuries. That is why we have restrictions. We don't want the terrorist bastards, or the criminals, or the people not willing to speak English or integrate.

It is not the UK only, it is the whole EU migration policy that is getting more restrictive. Spain regularized several thousands of illegal immigrants some months ago and the EU conucil recriminated us becuase it.

BTW i wonder where the Dutch are going?

That doesn't surprise me. When the visa-regime with Czech rep. was lifted, they placed their officers at our airport and actually scanned people who were traveling to Britain. They were turned back when they had slightly darker skin. Yes, I am not kidding, they were so afraid of the Roma gypsies they discriminated against them openly, moreover, they did so on our soil.

So much for the British tolerance :lol: I don't blame them though, most of the gypsies just wanted to apply for asylum there and let Britain feed them :lol:

Because we no longer hate each other, and unlike some other countries we've learnt the error of warfare for beliefs and profit and graduyally accepted that working together for mutual benefit is a far more wise state of affairs.

I'll make a bet with you if it's disolved in 5 years I'll sen you $100 and vise a versa if your wrong.:)
