There is more MLB teams than poll options, and I think an "Other" option would have been even more insulting :p

I like the Twins and the Padres.

Santana should have another good season.

You mean the (snicker) 4-11 (giggle) worst in the mlb Royals?

:pat: Although Gundzielanek is a great player. Not as good as some, but better than most. Unfortunately for the Royals not enough to carry the team.

TBH I know didly-squat about Baseball, I only know that he played for the expos a while back and I like the player because of his name. I did know that he's a good player.

I don't think Bo Jackson and Jim Thorpe could carry the Royals right about now...

Grudzielanek is one of my favorites too. I saw him one day filling in for some injured 2B on Sunday Night Baseball for the Dodgers once, and he walked and stole a base leading off the game. He has a cool name too.

Am I the only person who gets a weird GTA-style game in mind when you hear about the gameboy game 'Bo Jackson HIT AND RUN'?

But theres nothing that could help the royals except maybe a hockey team moving to KC, so that the KCers can see that baseball is maybe more their type of game.

But if ANYONE moved to KC over winnipeg I would shoot someone. HOCKEY=CANADA not South/Midwest American Football/NASCAR towns!

Kansas City was a hockey town long before we were a NASCAR town.

Slightly off topic...uhh....so...Alex Gordon is really sucking it up so far isnt he? How long until he's in AAA again?

AFAIK he's still the starting 3rd baseman. I haven't heard of him going back down to the minors.

But then I don't follow the Royals as closely as I do the Chiefs, so I could be wrong on that.

If they keep on the pace they're on now, we're looking at over 110 losses this season!

I'm sure they won't do that bad. But probably not that much better.

    Yankees.

The Red Sox shouldn't be up there. Only real teams should be.

Teams that have 200+ million dollars on player payroll but can't get out of the first round or have 2 competent pitchers count as real teams? :mischief:

gordon is struggling. that's for sure. he's hitting a buck-twenty-five w/ 17 Ks already :( but it's early. so i think the kid deserves to at least wait until the weather heats up before he gets shipped out :)

They better give him a chance. Like I said, I don't follow the Royals near as closely as the Chiefs, but I have heard of how much effort they put into getting him a starting position this year. I was pretty upset they moved Teahen off of third...so I wouldn't mind much if they demoted him and Teahen moved back to the corner.

Yeah, he's having problems at bat. They did an interview with him earlier this week, and he had the same thing happen at the beginning of last season. That bothered him a lot more than he did, he's got a bit more experience now than last year.

He's still not up to his full potential, but he's gonna be real good when he gets there.

Teams without a World Series championship in this millennium shouldn't be up there.
