TBH, I dont have Civ 6 or RF, but I do have ONLY Vanilla Civ 5. Thats it. But I still love the game. In my opinion, I think Robert the Bruce or Lautaro is good. I also like the Cree. This is a rank of my most favorite Leaders:

    1: Lautaro
    2: Robert the Bruce
    3: Poundmaker
    4: Chandragupta
    5: Genghis Khan
    6: Seondoek
    7: Shaka
    8: Wilhelmina
    9: Tamar

Seondoek purely for half cost +4 science campuses. Doubt I'll play the others as they can't compete with half cost +4 science campuses.

Design-wise I'm absolutely in love with Wilhelmina. Her Jekyll&Hyde-esque oscillations between jolly church lady and homicidal seahag are a thing of beauty.

For playing purposes, Scotland seems stronger than I thought. They simply bleed Great Scientists and Great Engineers, the only reason why they didn't run away with the game in my first try is because they ended up on their own small tundra island. (in that game, the Cree are running away, but hopefully I can beat them before they win science.)

But my vote went to Mapuche. They are THE fresh breath of air in this expansion pack, have strong abilities in both Swift Hawk and Toqui, a reliable way of generating culture (Since theatre squares, as you all should know, have a pretty poor Culture output if you're not Teddy or either Greek leader), the gimmick of forcing enemies to lose loyalty as they lose troops is really fun and disruptive. Can't wait to try them in my next game.

My first insticts to dislike Korea proved correct because Seondeok is terrible. Complaining about how you can't keep pace with her science while she has these ridiculous advantages to science herself is one of my least favourite historical agenda flavours and her in-game personality is sooo effing snotty. :cringe: Definitely my second least favourite leader personality in Civ 6, only above that Brazillian blowhard.

Poundmaker fits my playstyle. He makes international trade route worthwhile.and his unique tile improvement helps with production and tundra/desert settling spots.

Tamar is my favorite because of the UU quite potent if you heal till fortified on a hill. I also like all the new leaders.

While I haven't played all that much, I doubt it won't be Poundmaker.

The trade route city expansion is more fun that I expected. Forward settle AI > send trade route to AI > steal their tiles.

Not to mention their trade route bonuses are quite useful.

Also, while i'm not a warmonger, Shaka looks like one of the most interesting warmongering civs in either Civ V or VI.

I haven't even finished my first game as ghenghis yet, too early for me to tell. And I forgot to add all expansion leaders as AI's so I can't judge it from a 3rd person view either.

But judging from what I know, Korea looks like a favorite for op ness. Mongols and Zulu may be most fun.

The only civ that looks interesting is Korea. All the others have again such weird conditional abilities that interfere with my gameplay. With Korea I can play either science or warmonger (by applying science to military) & that works well. I think I'm faster at knights than with Sumeria, although I miss my beloved warcarts.

    1. The Cree, for trade and alliances.
    2. Zulus / Mongols for warmongering, funnier than Alexander, Gilgamesh and Moctezuma because you first need to survive Classical era before launching your waves.
    4. Scotland, the happiness mechanic is fun and original.

I really don’t like Lautaro, his bonuses are not synergetic at all. Polders are super nice but their bonuses and placement restrictions make them meh. As for Korea, too OP for me, not fun.

I like Tamar and Shaka. I guess one thing why I like them is that they have great music.

The decision was between Tamar, Poundmaker, Seondeok and Chandragupta for me.

    Tamar got my vote. :king:

I see your point. But to be honest I dont like Sondoek because to me the abilities are pretty bland in my opinion. I mean, I want more from that. Just 4 science? Nah, to me that will not just play Korea entirely.

Ahhh I see.... I am imagining you declaring war on England and spamming Impi everywhere, Civ 5 style, and razing all of her cities!
