See location to the left. Deventer is a 1000 year old hanseatic city in the eastern part of the Netherlands. The city is localy famous for the "Deventer koek" (kind of spicy cake) produced there and for the annual book market which is held the first sunday of august. They say is is the largest book market in Europe.
