So I have actual payed disks of civ 4 and bts and i have been playing them for a few years now. Recently, my bts disk was damaged and now i am unable to play it. Is there anyone who knows where i can download BTS safely and for free? Thanks.
umm i have the original game and it asks for cd upon load.....
Just send the damaged CDs to Firaxis. They will send you some new ones, including Civ 5. And all future expansions and new versions of civ and all other games they develop. For Free. thats how they make a living and enough bucks for make future games yaknow.
It works with most car-brands too. If u scratch it u just get a new one. For free.
its afaik only bts 3.19 that have removed copy protection
You're not comparing like with like here, obviously, since the cost of a motor car is closely related to the manufacturing costs of the physical object.
Depends. The newest US-versions of Civ IV Complete are free of any copy protection for all games / expansions included, all game-exe-files have the CD-check removed. So also the bundeled Vanialla 1.74, Warlords 2.13 and Colonization 1.01f can be played without CD. Other versions however (e.g. the German Complete) still have the CD-Checks for Vanilla and Warlords.
