Where do I copy the map file to in order to open it as a Custom Game rather than a custom scenario?

Thanks in advance (This is with Beyond The Sword version of the game)

And will it have the same name in-game? I'm specifically trying to play the 440x200 Terra map

I don't think it's possible. Custom games are based on map scripts, if you want to play a specific map you have to use the Scenario option.
The map files are in ..\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\PublicMaps.
But, why don't you want to play a Custom scenario?
